Im sure Dale would still be Dale. He would still speak his mind even at the risk of being unpopular and he would still run as hard as possible.

NASCAR fans miss the older drivers with real opinions and a go all or go home attitude. Stewart and the Busch brothers may be the closest we get to that again. Sadly the biggest stars (Gordon, Johnson, Kenseth) just mold into the new NASCARs PC world where you cant say anything negative or you get called into the trailer and fined. You get Mr. Cookiecutter response of "had a great _____sponsered car today. thought i had a shot at the end but it just wasnt my day. we will go get them next week in the _____ sponsered car." You cant tell if they ran 2nd or 42nd.

I think that Nascar be different than it was right now as he and Adam Petty's deaths have essentially created the COT. He be still a force in the standings and development of cars and have even more merchandise sales than he has now. He still push you out of the way when needed and be a pain in a** to pass on the track. He show guys like Kyle Busch and JP Montoya you do no mess with him and watch yourself literally before you wreck yourself.

This makes me think of of an analogy that Larry McReynolds gave as quickly as while he replaced into speaking approximately Earnhardt and NASCAR, he pronounced some thing like 'say you have this domestic dog, and you enable the domestic dog crap in the abode continuously, and then 2 years later, you attempt to punish it for crapping in the abode, the dogs won't comprehend what it did incorrect...' i thought this replaced into humorous because of the fact it confirmed that NASCAR did no longer comprehend a thank you to deal with him lower back while he replaced into in his best, and that they helpful as heck does not comprehend a thank you to deal with him now. As pronounced before, they cracked down a lot on tough driving after he died. remember Sundays race? Jimmy closed in on Kenseth on the top, and that they battled edge through edge for the lead for quite a few laps. What do you think of might have got here approximately if Dale Sr replaced into in Jimmy's spot? might we've considered a edge through edge conflict? Heck no, we'd have considered Kenseth spin out. i might quite see a edge through edge conflict.

When it comes to freedom of speech Sr. would have spoken out loud and clear.
I doubt that he would have been silent about the fans throwing crap on the race way. I do however think that he would adapt to the changes in the rules like everyone else. If he disagreed about any of the rules he would have said so.

Tony Stewart shows that he would do just fine. They are nearly the same guy, only Tony doesn't perform like he did. The other thing I can't help but notice, is that when alive he was not liked nearly as much as since he died. Not saying to hate the guy, but there are alot of fans who don't know much but who's name they see or hear. As far as speaking his mind, they let Tony say some of the dumbest and rudest things I've ever heard, so I think he would be fine.

To the moron below me: We care about Nascar you ignorant bastard. Don't come to the Nascar question page to say retarded things, go back to your dungeons & dragons.

I think he would have questioned the wings and splitters, but other than that I think he would be ok.

The kind of stuff he would fuss about is the tire at Lowe's. It might as well be a round brick on the front of the cars because it is not going to grip.

I think he was such a dominant figure that nascar would not give him the greif like the do other drivers. I bet DEI would be more competitive if he was still around.

He woulfd be retired and would probably be the commisioner or something. I liked his attitude, and he would definitely still be making his opinions known to the powers-that-be.

He wouldn't like the rules of today at all; but he would adapt to them....why? He loved to race. Racing was his passion and no rule would stop him from doing it or enjoying it.
