I have always loved Buddists.

Do you:

1 Find it hard when Christians constantly say the only way to Heaven is through Jesus

2 Find true peace and comfort in meditation?

3 Have higher poswers or spirit guides that speak to you in meditations

4 Have an easy book for me to read about your way of life?

and 5 Like the teachings of Jesus

Please try and answer each question

I was Christian, went over to Buddhism and now just have my own beliefs. I believe Jesus and Buddha were prophets of the Divine. Both Christianity and Buddhism have affected me in profound ways.
1. I understand where the Christians are coming from when they say Jesus is the only way. I believed that too a long time ago. They haven't progressed as far as I have is all.
2. I find real peace in meditation. I have gotten to where I can 'meditate out' anywhere and doing anything. It sure helps with feeling cantered and calm. It also taught my mind to be disciplined.
3. Yes I am psychic and it becomes more powerful each day. I became aware of my spirit guide and I hear him all during the day.
4. There is no real book to describe my way of life that I am aware of. I can tell you a book that effected me--Personal Power Through Awareness by Sanaya Roman
5. Jesus was a Divine prophet so yes, I am crazy about his teachings. I limit myself to reading what he said directly and also I prefer to read Buddha's words. I don't want someone else's interpretation of Jesus' words, whether it is Paul or another modern day scholar.

Many of the so called teachings of Jesus were in fact taught by the Buddha some 500 years before Jesus lived. There were Buddhist monks traveling as far as Alexandria in Egypt during the first century BC and it possible that Jesus may have picked up some of his ideas and parables from wandering Buddhist monks passing through Galilee.

I suggest reading a couple of books about Buddhism to answer your other questions.

Thich Nhat Hanh wrote a book comparing Jesus and Buddha in a loving, peaceful way. I think it was called 'Living Buddha, Living Christ'.
