It can be. It might have to do with how you define "spirit." And you might think, "Oh, puh-leeeze...", but that word has religious overtones that can put off the more secular-minded.

But even for these people, the answer would be yes, defining spirit as something like the essence of their mental activity, or the core being of themselves, even if it is a purely natural neurological or psychological process, and not a supernatural one, as prayer is supposed to be.

I'm with ??? on this one. The word spiritual is almost meaningless. Meditation can have restorative effects. It can improve concentration. And it doesn't seem to matter what you meditate on, it's the process of meditation that produces the results.

Spiritual? Can mean negative spiritual/Good righteous spirit (based on the word of God).

Depends on what you meditate on.

Meditate on scripture or God's love if you want it to be the right spirit.

Using your brain to think is spiritual. Emptying your brain during meditation is not.
