God proves His Word and existence via the vehicle of prophecy. No other religion or holy book prophesies except the Bible.
http://schnebin.blogspot.com/2006/05/gods-word-proven.html
This Bible says that there is only One Way to the Father, and that is through the Savior, Jesus Christ (Yeshua HaMeshiach). Who was the only one able to raise Himself from the dead to prove He had the keys of death and the grave.
This Bible also says that there is no way you can work your way to heaven--by being good, by giving money, by keeping the law. So God, via His grace and mercy, came down to earth in the form of man, and died in our place and offers this salvation as a free gift for all who desire it.
This Savior was the only One to have His coming prophesied in advance.

The above separates my belief system from all the others.
Now, there are many religions that have good rules for society, philosophy of living, rituals of relaxation and getting "in-tune". But no religion can gain you a personal relationship with God,100% assurance of eternal life, or prove it's holy book or writings are from the eternal God, except one--Christianity. Not only can it provide and prove the above, but even the One we follow stated without reservation or ambiguity that He was the only way, the only truth, and the only source of life.
John 14:6
[Jesus said,] "I am the way, the truth, and the life: No man cometh unto the father, but by me".
Acts 4:12
[Peter stated about Jesus,] "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."
1 John 2:23
[Jesus said,] "Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also."
Romans 5:21
That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
1 John 5:11
And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son."
John 3:16-18
[Jesus said,]"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

thats a really good question. Christianity claims to be the only true religion. why Because of Jesus Christ who died and rose again on the third day. Jesus is the only way to God and forgiveness of our sins. by one mans disobedience sin entered the world (meaning Adam) and by one mans obedience sin was overcome (Jesus).
Muslims believe in one God, so do Chrisians. Muslims believe Jesus was a prophet. Chrisitianity says Jesus is Gods son and one can only be saved through Jesus Christ.
If you read books (outside of the bible)on history there is proof of Jesus walking this earth. Josephus the Jewish historian talked about a man named Jesus who did great things. Other Historians also talked about who Jesus was. Also Roman historian Cornelius Tacitus talked about Jesus. the archaeology has given us some prood aswell. When they did a dig at the city of Dan they found some scripts pretaining to King David so the Old Testament had stories about David now archaeology has proven that it wasn't just a story but King David was real. Archaeology also found a man from the time of Jesus who had been crucified and still had the nail in his feet etc. This find also proves that the Romans really did crucify people on the cross. The proof is all there that the bible isn't just some book, but archaeology is slowly proving that the bible is true and the stories told are not myths.
Another good example is the dead sea scrolls. These prove the Old testament to be true.
there are alot of good books out there that give proof from not just a christian view point but from a secular worlds view point. Journalistic view points and not someones thinking are the best books to read.
Im reading a book called: Is the bible true? by Jeffery L Sheler good luck

Christianity is the only "religion" that can stand up to scrutiny and criticism. If you were to do a study on the historicity and authenticity of the Bible you'll find that the claims stated in scripture are not only actual historical events but they can be backed up by logic and science. All other religions were basically the ideas of mere men who happened to have a few people who agreed with them. They can not stand up criticism.
There's more to it then just that but to explain it in full would take some time.

God created many religions for particular reasons. Each religion as said to some people who had a NDE (near death experience ), is like a "stepping stone" to help teach you further. There are many churches as well for the needs of each of our individuality. We each have spiritual needs, there is a religion for each of us. Do not the catholics, muslims, and christians all, for example, believe and worship God and Christ? Different relgions, same deity. You were born at a time meant for you, at a place meant for you. I do not need a religion to worship God. The Lord is my shepherd. He never said "do this religion or burn". My faith is right, and thats waht matters. Proof? What is needed, I have felt the truly wonderful Holy Spirit before, and is wan't because of how I worshipped, but because of WHO I worshipped.

because I know that no matter what church I walk into in the world, that no matter what language the mass is celebrated in - it is still the Roman Catholic Mass. And that even though I might not understand a word of it, all those same people in that church believe what I believe.
also, because unlike so many other churches, my church has a system of laws and codes and regulations, and I like rules. And if there is any doubt, there is a chain of command to follow.
And I truly believe that Mary is everyone's mother.

Simple. Because it works best for ME. I already knew what it was I believed in, so I read up on different religions until I found one that fit me.
The "proof" of it? I am not out to "prove" anything. I think trying to get somebody else to adopt the same religion as me would be as pointless and hopeless as trying to make them have same same favorite foods and CD that I do.

Well, I will only believe the anointing, the Spirit of Truth that healed me from my 1yr breakdown and who also revealed the false beliefs that had accumulated that led to the breakdown.
The Spirit of Truth is given of God the Father when one is born of God, through faith and confession in Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God, atonement for sins & resurrection.
So, then the Spirit of Truth, even when I have doubted it, always ends up proving true.
So the assurance in my spiritman is all the proof I need.

Just to prove the mommy and daddy crap wrong, I'll answer.
Because I spent months researching it and could find no contradictions between the teachings and the scriptures that I already knew to be true. I prayed for an answer "is this the true church" and I received an answer that I can't deny, so I joined the LDS church and would have never dreamed how happy I would end up.

I worship in a progressive Methodist church...however, I do not buy into all of their dogma.
First and foremost, I am a Christian...I seek God's guidance in scripture study, and prayer...I believe that God is found in many religions, and not just protestant ones.
I believe fundamentalists have tarnished the term "christian" and likewise many religions have been tarnished by their holier than thou attitudes, and superiority complexes.
No one has all of the answers, and to claim to is blasphemy...no one should ever say, my religion is better than yours...because no one is God.
