I suppose the simple answer is that war is hell when you have no plan for things going horribly wrong. If the president really wanted the support of the american people he would at least listen to the senate and be more flexible on his overall plan to have to deal with the possibility that the troops are getting their butts kicked because he jumped the gun in the first place. I don't think it has to do with money at all. I think it's more of a problem with his inflated ego, along with his inability to accept responsibility in the first place.

There are a lot of us out here. Throwing money at any problem is not the answer. What has throwing money at poverty done? Created such a welfare mentality in our country that everybody is entitled. Sending tractors to Somalia created famine. After 2 strokes and a heart attack, people keep asking me why I don't sign up for SSI & foodstamps. Because I can get by on what I EARN. Part time minimum wage? So what? I can get by without frills, and I don't believe anybody else has the right to pay my bills.

The Iraq war is a money pit when you consider the embezzlement happening through Halliburton and KBR. Nothing over there has been rebuilt for the Iraqi people, they don't even have clean water and no electricity throughout most of the Country. The Conservative MERCs Black Water are receiving the bulk of the funding, it is in the oversight investigation reports.

You are not along thinking like that. We can't win this war with money. The most money are going (the money from the taxpayers) for the troops, building Iraq???? destroying Iraq!!!! and building again???? We can't win this war with money, there is any money there. We are loosing our soldiers every single day. Bush told today in the news it will be a bloody summer this year in Iraq. I remember one thing there is every single day bloody day... in Iraq. I don't know what he is talking about. Look like more soldiers and their families and civilians need to suffer for a long time.

We can go bankrupt just throwing money into the Iraq disaster and not accomplish a thing. If you ask me Bush just dose not want to start pulling out tell he is out of office. This way part of the blame for the way things seem doomed to end up might fall on someone else's name.

Trust me your not the only one who thinks that. I definitely think they need to bring our military back home. My husband is in the Army and had a tour in Iraq, he's come back more screwed up than I've ever seen him before. It doesn't seem like things are getting that much better. And if they do bring back our soldiers', they're going to leave small units to watch over, whom of which the rebels will try to get rid of. That will just cause our government to deploy our military back over there.

I don't find it suspicious. The senate and everybody else is against it, so why would he want to talk to them, their just going to turn him down anyways. He needs the money for the war, because well it takes money to supply the soldiers food, and supplies, and anything else they need. I think that it is good he has them over there, remember it was Iraq who started this war with 911, and if he does take them out, there liable to come back over here and do something 10 times worse than 911 was. I don't think people in America realize that our freedom is not free, it is bought by blood sweat and tears, from men and women who fought and died for us, so that the enemy wouldn't come in and try to steal it away from us.

Money will not win the war, but it will help win the hearts and minds of the Iraqi people. Showing that we are there to help... The Iraqi people are a proud people and they are ashamed that they couldn't get rid of Saddam or now the other nuts that are trying to take over themselves.
