What are the pros and cons of illegal immigration?

We already have immigration laws. Yet the Feds have been unwilling to enforce them. No way will the Feds suddenly be able to enforce penalties against illegals under the new bill. But they will give them the perks.

There is nothing beneficial about ILLEGAL immigration. Perhaps your question would have more depth and meaning if you asked, "What are the pros and cons of LEGAL immigration?"

Cons: Business are able to hire illegal workers cheaper and thus not have to listen to labor. Workers lose all power due to expendable workers. If not for the illegals, those jobs that no one would do would pay more and legal citizens would do them. Instead the illegals under cut them and allow businesses to not have to pay a respectable wage.

Pros: Businesses and politicians make more money.

1. If we make them all citizens, they'll all vote Democrat and the Republicans will never win another election.
2. The USA will have to learn to speack two languages.
3. Business can have cheap labor.
4. The Social Security System will gain a new source of income.
5. Economically they will hurt but over the long term they will benefit the economic system.

Cons:
All of the above....

I guess I'll be the first to be objective in this question. "Patriots" like this make me sick.

Pros include...

More income tax revenue (many illegals DO pay taxes, and the ones that don't, do not mean LESS tax revenue).

Menial labor, that the majority of Americans won't do. The people on welfare would do them, but they enjoy their cushy as hell system. The fact that they blame illegals for no jobs and then refuse jobs in favor of welfare is talking out of so many sides of their mouth it's not even funny. Fact is, some jobs would not get filled without illegal immigrants, and these jobs being filled moves along the economy.

Financial benefits: Businesses don't need to buy health care, comply with OSHA. This means cheaper end-user prices for the consumer. Homeowners get cheaper lawn and maid services.

Illegals PAY SALES TAX. Even if you argue that somehow no illegals pay income tax (they do), ALL of them pay sales tax.

Illegals buy properties, rent space, open bank accounts, get car insurance. This helps the economy.



Cons of illegal immigration include...

For the portion that doesn't pay their part, increased burden upon taxed-funded resources (like roads that they drive on).

Difficult prosecution when illegal immigrants committing reprehensible crimes (you know, those things like murder. How you can call yourself a patriot and compare a serial killer to an illegal immigrant is beyond me) evade the country.

Continuing growth of cheap labor demands.

No government reimbursement for states that have to carry illegals.

Millions of dollars remitted to Mexico in the form of illegals trying to help Mexicans enter the country.

Fraud of all kinds.

Imbalanced authorized immigration.

Makes you wonder how many thumbs down a best answer can get.
