I was wondering if it is possible to use a program or something to make a whole website available to view offline..

I need to make the GCSE revision site of BBC offline so I can use it to revise when away on holiday...

Hope you can help, whether with a link or program!♠

Follow rohit k's advice: use Httrack, it lets you download an entire site for viewing it offline. Besides, it's free, fast and fully configurable.

I revise mine often while offline. I depend on it! However, part of my website is PHP-driven. THAT part I can't test offline, as I haven't downloaded an Apache (or other) server. All the HTML and CSS and javascript stuff you can test offline by merely telling a browser to "work offline". I have versions of all major browsers and they offer this option. My HTML editor offers previews in these browsers, but I'm sure you may do the same by just right-clicking your HTML file in My Computer and selecting "Open with" and choosing the browser in which you want to view it...

If you build your website in straight html and make all your links relative, then any web-browser will display the site correctly just by reading it from a folder on your computer (no need to go online). You don't need to download any extra software to make this happen.

Avoid using a language like php, otherwise you will have to install an extra program on your computer (not to contemplate if you're unfamiliar with this stuff).

Making all your links relative also makes your site fully portable - you can test it off line and then upload it to any host you like.

The important thing is to make all your links relative.

You have to sign up for their "Password Protection feature" that would allow only people with a password to see your site.
