Since it's a dinner & reception, you'll need to dress nicely. Silver is the color for 25th anniversaries, keep that in mind when choosing wrappings - but yes, a gift would be nice. Especially if you know the couple involved really well......... See if anyone else is getting a gift, maybe go in on a gift card to a great restaurant or everybody pitch in & give the couple a cruise or a stay at a bed & breakfast.....

Yes. If you know the couple well, you may want to get them a gift. Silver symbolizes the 25th anniversary milestone so you have lots of options. You can look for ideas on the internet (i.e., http://www.silverqueen.com/Gifts/anniversary.asp). The other option is money (which most people prefer). An event of that nature takes money so money can be used to "break even" from the party or to purchase anything they would like/need.

yes it is a good idea to either bring a gift or a card with money in it. Where you are going for a dinner and reception it is a must...if it was just a small gathering at their home ...sort of a pot luck all that would be required is a card.

For a party like this with a dinner and a reception, it would be proper etiquette to bring at least a card (a gift would also be nice -- remember, something silver!) unless the invitation specifies "please -- no gifts."

yes, bring a gift because not a lot of marriages making to 25 that's a great accomplishment and it leaves hope for the rest of us trying to make it to 25 and beyond. congrats to them for being able to beat those divorce odds.

Yes, but it doesn't have to be expensive, just something to mark the day. Something silver is traditional, but pewter is too - and there are lots of decorative items to get in pewter, or with pewter accents on them.
