im supposed to cut my b/f hair ad ive never done it b4 any tips?...hes got longish shorthish hair and he wants it normal...please help!!!

My tips:
1) Use hair cutting scissors & a fine tooth comb to section off hair.
2) Cut hair after shampoo while it is wet. Keep spray bottle on hand to spritz hair as needed.
3) Trim in little increments about 1/4 inch & comb through to check evenness & length. Step back to assess work.

If you've never cut hair before, don't do it. send him to a professional ,or tell him to cut it himself. That way if it turns out bad he can't tell everyone that says,"What happened to your hair?", "oh, I let my girlfriend cut it." Not a good thing. I have been cutting my own hair for many years now, only go to a shop when I want highlights or if I just don't feel like it and want to be pampered. But I usually end up liking my cut better than their's.

If you buy an electric razor kit it will come with guides and shapers of all different sizes and some come with videos on how to do everything. All my girlfriends and I cut our husbands hair.
