Is war in Iran imminent?

Question

I believe it will happen, and I believe they have nukes. I think they (Iran) view this as a holy war, so it's "do or die" for them.

That scares me...and I think it should scare everyone on this planet. The fall out from a nuclear war will affect the entire planet.

Thoughts?

I'm Canadian I don't watch FOX or CNN for that matter.

Don't forget North Korea. My guess is they have all they need and they will outnumber US soldiers 10 to 1.

They are very, very silent in all this. They aren't just whistling Dixie through all this.

What makes everyone think the US will be successful in Iran when they have failed in Iraq and Afghanistan and Jihadism and terrorists have multiplied to levels 10 times what existed before 9/11????? Seriously folks!!!!??

Well Josh, I can only hope you're right on that...nobody wants to see anyone's troops hurt in all this...and frankly, I don't like seeing innocents caught up in any war....the devestation and pain left behind after all this will be horrendous.

Lilith I wasn't worried about the US deploying the nuks...why would Iran suddenly step up production if electricity was all they were aiming for?

The United States may go to war with Iran if, Iran or Iranian Proxies (i.e. Hezbollah) directly attack American forces or American allies this summer.

The West does not wish to see a replay of last summer's war between Hezbollah and Isreal.

Even European and Sunni Muslim nations are becoming impatient with Iran's Nuclear antics because Europe and the entire Middle East/ East Asia is within range of Iran's long range missles. Thus European and Sunni nations maybe the primary antagonists to Iran in a new conflict.

As for fall out...Depleted Uranium dust from Iraq is already contaminating almost everything in Iraq and the surrounding region.

Finally, The United States will not use nuclear weapons to bomb Iran because Iran shares a border with Russia. It is not in American interests to provoke further hostilities with another nuclear nation.

Well, it definitely could be, but it's up to Iran as to whether or not they get their country bombed into the next life.

They are not nuclear capable, and that's what this is all about: keeping them from becoming nuclear capable because they'd hold the entire world hostage any time they deemed necessary.

But unlike Iraq which requires a ground force and peace keepers, Iran can simply be bombed by our globally superior air force.

There would be sortie after sortie essentially wiping out any building working on nuclear anything. Their entire military would be blown to bits, and the government would probably follow closely behind that.

We probably won't lose a single man outside of a plane or helicopter malfunctioning.

Why go to war just because they may be going to have nuclear weapons (Iran). The people in the west said the same stories about India and later on about Pakistan. They have not used them. Like every one the USA wants to dominate the world but it cannot because the world does not start with USA and does not end with USA there are more people outside it than inside it so it should learn to live with people rather than bully the people into believing it`s lies and anti human propaganda. Therefore definitely not attack anyone else. So the answer to your question is a resounding NO NO NO NO NO NO

Of course we are just a lot nervous about a Nuclear Iran, but war is not imminent.

IRAN??? nahhhhhh. as of right now, Israel should be more worried about Iran than us. Fox is Fox and Fox will always be FOX. Just because they show military prescence doesnt mean we are going to war. Iran still doesnt have nuclear capabilities. cant just make a nuke in a week. I think we may well have a limited war with Iran. Bush wants one badly and so does Israel. However, I think the use of the limited number of nukes that will be involved, while being a huge moral wrong, will not affect the planet to a great extent.

No, no longer anymore than below Bush and Obama is a lot slicker in terms of international family. i do no longer think of maximum folk choose conflict with the exception of a few loopy followers on all facets who're or must be remoted, beginning with Bush as an occasion.
