within a few hours of taking it out the hole will shrink, it won't close, but it will be tough and maybe a bit sore to get the stud back in.

Maybe. Everyone is different. Usually it's somewhere between 6 months and a year (more often it's a year) that people can leave thier piercings out for a few hours without issue. To be on the safe side, pick up a retainer at your local piercing studio, they're about $10 each. They're clear, so your piercing is not very noticable (about the same as the bare hole would be).

It depends on your nose...mine will close up after like an hour of having it out and i have had mine for 2 years...

yes u can but dnt leave it out for too long as if you leave it for a few days it will b hard to put it bk in an will hurt

You can but it really hurts when you try to put it back in. You will be ok as long as its not bleeding or is really swollen. If its been eight months its probley almost healed.
