The easiest way to get a credit card would be to apply for a secured card. If you have a checking and/or a savings account, you might want to check with your bank to see if they offer them. Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and Orchard Bank offer secured cards. Orchard Bank also offer low-limit unsecured cards in addition to secured cards to help build credit, but chances are you'll have to get a secured one based on your income.
A strong piece of advice if you're able to get one: use it for EMERGENCIES only and charge only what you know you can pay off. It's so easy to charge with it, but the trick is to pay and pay on time. Charge something small per month (no more than $40) and pay it off or as close to it as possible. You can think of this as a credit card with "training wheels" or building credit with a savings account. Becuase the money you'd have to put upfront to get the same amount of the deposit in a line of credit. That's why it's so important not to bite off more than you can chew with this card. Because it's hard enough already paying bills especially to have a big credit card bill hanging over your head. So please be careful, and give it a deep thought before you apply. I posted links to some secured card websites to take a look
Good luck!

Apart from no annual fee feature of the American Blue Express it also gives cash returns on specific purchases. Users of the American Blue Express also enjoy protection against fraud for online credit card transactions. This card tries to right the various wrong notions about the American Express credit cards, one of which is that it is a credit card only for rich or those who have money to keep a credit card.

If you have any income and reasonable credit, any credit card company will give you credit. The max balance will start low. Just remember to pay it off every month. It is not a long term loan, just a convenience to not carry cash everywhere.
Check with your bank, or www.chase.com or www.citi.com or www.discover.com or www.americanexpress.com to just name a few.
Make sure you open one that does not change an annual fee. There is no reason to pay a fee unless your credit is bad.
Spend wisely!

Of course. If this is your first time some companies might want to to apply for a secure card first. They may request that you make small deposit in an account for maybe $200 dollars. This deposit will be your credit limit and it secures their funds in case you default.
