i recently asked about sexual acts the christian god doesn't approve of. apparently masturbation is one of them.

i can't imagine that people can actually go their whole lives without doing this, especially as a teenager. now i assume they can repent their sin of masturbating, but how many times can you repent before you just aren't allowed into heaven?

this was the part of an answer that dealt with the subject:

Masturbation is another misuse of these wonderful powers that are hidden within the human body. Anybody that goes through the puberty years daily masturbating will suffer the consequences. Why, simply because it will cause a devastating loss of essential minerals. With just one come a man looses as much zinc as the body can absorb in 24 hours. It goes without saying that this cannot be natural and in its efforts to compensate for the loss the body struggles against the odds. Please let us follow the way of nature, so clearly pointed out in our bodies.

Um...

That's hysterical!

I don't even know what to say to that argument. Not natural? Didn't "God" "intelligently design" all of those hormones and the expulsion of zinc (?!) into the system? Didn't "God" put all of those nerve endings "down there" so sexual activity would be pleasureable?

Masturbation is a natural act. If you need the release and don’t, you will probably have emissions in your sleep. So what does that tell you? It’s normal.

The problem comes when you let this normal release become and obsession and you find your mind constantly fantasizing, turning away from God and turning toward your physical desires.

Becoming obsessive about anything is wrong because it turns us away from God and keeps us focused on ourselves. Viewing pornography is wrong because it is dehumanizing and exploits those who create the material. By participating you are helping to expand and promote the exploitation of these victims of this disgusting industry.

At some point we have to decide what matters more to us. Our own desires or how we treat others. Everybody who views pornography is helping to victimize the participants.

Peter asked Jesus how many times we are supposed to forgive others. Seven is a number that means "completeness" in the Bible. It comes from God creating the world in six days and resting on the seventh, giving us our week. So in a way it's like infinity.

Peter asked if we should forgive 7 times. Jesus replied, "7 times 70 times". Meaning, "Infinity to the max, Peter".

God will always forgive a repentant heart.

God has talked about it not at all. Show me where! God created us in harmony: body and spirit. So, the spirit has its necessities as the body has too. The real sin is to unbalance one of them. To increase the spirit against the body is a sin. Only have fun with our bodies hiding our spirit it's a sin too. Let's give the appropriate food to them.

Some Christians, even conservative ones, will say it's okay for a single person to masturbate if they *really* have to, because you're just letting off tension and you're not involving another person. Even James Dobson said that. I can't imagine anyone being able to be completely celibate *and* not masturbate. God may want to be around them, but I wouldn't.

Yes, sex is to be between two people and not by oneself. Sex is to be kept pure till marriage. Teen masturbation only lead them more astray in watching porns and premarital sex and lust and the like.
There is no level a person can mount to get to heaven. You have to accept Christ as your Savior and live accordingly to His Words. If one repent of his sins genuinely, he would unlikely want to commit the sin again.

why give someone the ability to make themselves feel so good without damaging your body with toxins if you cant do it. it's the most natural thing in the world. like picking your nose. when god shouts down and says "don't do that", then it's time to listen xxxxx
