My first husband was a catholic when we married. I am an Atheist. We were married for over twenty one years and for most of that time he was ardently a non-believer....until I left him. He soon reverted back to his need of being told what a good boy he is and that Jesus loved him!

There is a Lee Strobel book on the subject (he used to be an atheist married to a christian woman), i think its called: "Surviving a Spiritual Mismatch in marriage"

look it up

When I was a non believer i used to date a christian, it was very hard, still now that i'm a christian i'm not against dating non believers, its just... well very hard, byt not impossible if there is really a lot of dialog and understanding

Yes my husband was an atheist when we met. We agreed not to talk about religion or God. We have been together almost 23 years.Nothing was missing in our relationship, we have always been very happy. But he did not interfere with my beliefs and I never interfered with his. But he is now a Christian. He found God almost 8 years ago and is very devout

I am Pagan and my husband is athiest (Lots of Gods versus non at all so yeah different ends of the spectrum)
It doesn't bother us in the least. He has the complete right to believe what he wants and so do I. The only time it gets on his nerves is when a Sabbath falls on a day he wants to go fishing. :)

I married a Christian and I am a Christian.
But I do know the Bible warns against marrying a non-believer. The Bible says we should be "equally yoked".
