Since my fiancee is Muslim, I'd have to say I don't equate Muslims with being bad. However, I do consider Islam to be bad, in the sense that I consider all religion to be bad. It is just organized superstition and has done a lot of harm to society.

BTW, my Muslim fiancee would agree with me on the harm that religion has done. Though, of course, she attributes the harm to zealots of the faith, much like moderate Christians do with Christianity.

the problem is that all muslims are afraid to speak out against the religion for frear of reprisals. This problem doesn't extend to other religion's extremists.

So called "moderate" muslims still display much extremism. Basically this difference is the difference between the modern KKK and the KKK of the 60's where lynchings were approved by the law rather than acts of racism done in secret through mediums.

The average "foot soldier" of the muslims is not relevant. See they will follow thier leaders. So long as those in power remain extremists, then the population will as well. The predominant voice of the culture is extremism and this is what pushes the terrorists and legit army on.

They fight because they are told to, they don't set policy. The extremists set policy and the so called "moderates" are too afraid to oppose them because of outright fear, or fear of losing politcal or religious clout.

EDIT: Muslims ARE black, or better yet, there are black muslims. However this is not the islam that I or anyone else is talking about. When people refer to "islam" they mean "arab islam". 5%ers are actually peacefull and non-violent. I have yet to meet a violent black muslim. My personal belief as to why this is so is because most of them are not brought up with the mentality to "kill the infidels" as that is not ingrained into american, european or any other society that has black muslims.

EDIT2: there are things you can blame christianity or any religion for. It depends on the circumstances. The crusades, while cruel and unjust (it was actually saladin during the 3rd crusade that exhibited the ideal of chivalry, and not the crusaders who raped his sister) were not terrorism. The crusaders brought an army, they did not hide out in muslim cities and kill random people to spread fear. They said "lets bring it". The KKK is not sanctioned by christianity, nor are the ideas and values of christianity in accordance with the KKK. Islam however does preach "peace through conquest" and a theocratic society, and the high preists of islam promote this idea.
You want other uses of christianity? Try that it was a mechanism to keep blacks as slaves in america. I got a ton of em. It isn't only islam I call em' like I see em'.

The Religion is good, it's the people who bring the Religion down. Generally, the parents wl always talk about other faith as being phony that their children grows with a strong feeling that we shld be wiped out. The parents intentions do not mean to stir the children into that direction...I guess they are just trying to protect their children frm convertion. It's a wrong way to educate a child, maybe they just don't know how else to explain to the children.

There are extremist muslims that give the peaceful majority a bad name.

Coupled with the way that people (including some claiming to be 'christian') demonize muslims as a whole - claiming that islam preaches nothing but hate and intolerance, while practicing exactly the same thing and calling it 'christianity'.

Most are hold-overs from the McCarthy era, and when they no longer had a communist boogie man (well, some continue to claim that it exists), they had to find something else to run around screaming about.

I agree with you. I do find myself afraid of Muslims more than a hatred of them. Look at one of the guys response in here who proved your point (Pledge or die). He thinks he's a Christian but says all black people should die. First of all Muslims aren't black , and even if they were why should they die or be treated less because of it. There are idiots in all religions , whether it be Christian or Islam, or anything for that matter.
Religion is not the only problem however!! There are many athiests who would start wars just as fast as their religious counterparts.

No, you have to judge each person as an individual. Muslim or any other faith, race or gender. If more of us would not class people, but think of each as your neighbor, brother or sister, there might be more compassion out there to actually help one another. But to judge a whole group of people under one category and call it bad, is wrong. This is not what Jesus teaches!

Is there no such thing as Christian terrorism? Lets examine, The Crusades, The KKK, Eric Robert Rudolph, Militant Organization called the Army of God. I could go on and on. Should I blame Christianity? No I blame the individual. Lets put it like this, if the shoe was on the other foot and you were an Iraqi, I bet your views on who was a Terrorist would be different.

Absolutely not. Alot of Muslims I've met in college have been really nice, to the point were I felt bad for them because I know they're in the Bible Belt and constantly getting judged by other people. Most Muslims don't want to be compared to Bin Laden, just like I, as a Christian, don't want to be compared to Falwell or Robertson.

Concerning your question, I must say that all things we see coming from muslims are, not only bad, but terrible. Therefore, I must say that muslim is synonym to cruel, blood thirsty.
About what you say regarding the muslim extremists, I still believe that that does not justify their barbaric actions. It might explain it, but not justify it.
About what you say regarding "others of the faith", I understand you mean other Christians. In that case, I have not seen Christians beheading prisoners, or blowing people in a market, or any of the horrible things that muslims do in the name of ala. That gives their god a veeeery bad reputation. It makes it a god who like human sacrifices, something that was seen before Christ
By the way, I would like to suggest you to improve your grammar

The most wonderful, kindest and most compassionate doctor I have ever known was Moslem and named Dr. Allah.

With all religions, when people follow fanatical teachers/preachers, they are not following God. They are following other fallible people. They become corrupted and all too often their minds become overtaken with hate of all that they do not understand. God nourishes us with understanding and wisdom. Fanatical leaders are after their own agenda and tend to lead their people away from God to focus on their cause. This is how any religious group can become corrupted.
