ok i want to get a little diamond stud on the left side of my nose but i have a few questions. the first one is can i get it done if i do not have a little dent in the side of my nose when i smile? my friend has hers done and she said that when you smile u should have a little dent on either side of ur nostril and if u dont have it then they cant do it...is that true? second can it be pierced with a little diamond stud or does it have to be a big one/ a ring? third...i need as much detail as possible about what exactly it feels like..i dont care if u tell me that it was the most painful thing in the world..i just want to know what to expect..i have a fairly low tolerance for pain yet have 2 tattoos, 4 earrings per ear and bellybutton pierced :)

p.s please dont lecture me about infection, that its ugly/stupid/trampy etc etc...im going to a very sanitary and nice place, i like the way they look and if i wanted to know what ur personal views on piecings were then i would have asked :)

i have my nose pierced & i don`t have a "dent" or whatever by my nostrils!!! i`ve never heard that before,actually...anyone can get it!!! it doesn`t hurt at all...mine was finished before i even realized what happened, i even asked the guy when he was going to do it & the piercer told me "i`m already finished!"...so, it really isn`t painful in the least!!! yes, u can get it done with a smaller stud, basically whatever u wish...enjoy your piercing!!!

I had my labret pierced and although it wasn't my nose I know that usually you can get any type of piercing no matter what unless you have some STRANGE circumstance. (Like I've heard that if you're tongue is too veiny on the underside the piercing person may refuse to do it cuz if they nick the vein then you may not be able to stop the bleeding....)....

anyways.... when I had my labret pierced it did indeed hurt, anything on your face is going to hurt worse then say your ears. You have to hold really still so the piercing person doesn't put the needle in crooked or anything. Usually the put the needle in and that hurts of course, then they tell you to hold still while they get the jewelry, then putting the jewelry through hurts too......whatever you do make sure you KEEP breathing. Alot of people hold their breath and that's what makes you pass out, just clench your teeth a little and breath through your nose.....

What I do is focus on my breathing while the rest is going on, that way I don't focus on what the piercer is doing.

Oh, and I think you can use something other than a ring, I think you can use a diamond stuf for the first one, but they tell you which kinds you can pick out right then and there that they will use for the first one. You have to keep that one in for a specific amount of time and then I suggest the first time you want to change it go back to the place you got pierced at and let them change it cuz it's gunna hurt and you don't want to end up damaging part of your nose

I hope this helped! Good Luck!

I doesnt really matter what your nose looks like they should be able to pierce it. Ive seen people with every kind of nose with that piercing so i wouldnt worry about it, but if you are concerned go into the piercing place and ask them about it.

they can put a stud or a ring in depending on what you want, but i think the stud is best for if you are trying to stay away from infection.

As for pain, it depends on your pain threshold. I have a pretty high one so it didnt hurt too bad. I can tell you for a fact that it hurts a lot less than the bellybutton piercing...for sure. It is just more uncomfortable than anything and it makes your eye water but only because there are nerves connected there.

I wouldnt worry about the pain, but it looks great!!!!

kk
first off, its not a lecture, just a warning, its BEST u get the peircing done with a needle!

i got it done with a needle, its more painful than with a gun, but better!

2. u have to just close ur eyes and BREATHE! it stings and ur eyes tear, but i was soo happy i got it done i didnt "let" it hurt! lol

i dont think it matters if u have a dent in your nose or not, but it won't hurt to ask them when u go there. Doubt thats a problem though!

as you know, since you have all those peircings, make sure u wash it and do NOT remove the peircing until 4 weeks after you got it done, i took it out the day i got it done and it was soo painful i cried and couldnt get it back in!!!!!!

oh and you could get the diamond stud right away-- for the peircing to heal faster, they usually recommend you get a metal stud, like a tiny ball, but you CAN get it peirced with a little stud as well, actually you may get whatever you want!!

Good luck and hope i was help!!!

You don't need any sort of dent on your nose when you smile.....I don't know where that one came from.

You will be given a choice of what jewerly you want, most artists will use a nosril screw (stud) with a surgical steel bead. They may have ones with gems for you to choose from, but ask about that when you make the appointment. It's much better to get pierced with jewelry you like since you can't change it for 10 weeks.

Piercing only hurts for a few seconds, then it's done. It may be sore for a few days afterwards, but it's not that bad.

You can pierce it anywhere you like. When i had mine done, my eyes watered really hard, and it bled a little, and it was sore for awhile. make sure to have a clean pillowcase and clean fingers, because it's super gross it if gets infected. Also, i had mine pierced w/ a nose screw- my piercer said that it provides better protection. Once it heals though, i highly recommend betting a bar bell. they're a bit more expensive, but well worth it- nose screws are total booger dams. you buy the setting, which goes in your nose up thru the hole, and a tiny stud that seats in the post. you can get as many studs in all varieties. Ask your local jewelry shop to special order if you have to.

i got my nose pierced over a year ago. firstly, the person piercing you should mark exactly where they are going to pierce before they do it. so you are completely happy about where it is going to be sitting on your nose.

you can have either a stud or a ring when you first get it pierced although a stud is recommended as rings tend to pull on the piercing.

make sure the jewellery you pick is not silver as while the wound is healing the silver will oxidise and you'll have a black ring around your piercing that you cant get rid of.

the pain is minimal. its over in no time.

You don't need to have an indentation from your nostril to get a nasal piercing. Yes they will use the little studs, in fact I think that's they use most of the time. And if you have your naval pierced, it's really not much worse than that in fact my nasal piercing was less painful than my naval piercing. It's very quick, especially if you go to someone who knows what they have been doing and has had some experience.

You can get your nose pierced even if there isnt a dent. They even marked my piercing where there wasnt a dent, and I told them I wanted it farther back. Yes you can get it pierced w/ stud jewelry. Some shops will let you choose your jewelry, just ask before you pay. The pain wasnt that bad. I hate to tell you that because I dont want you to not expect pain and then it hurts. They pierced mine from the inside to the out. I didnt even know she had pierced it and she said she needed to put in the jewelry. Mine healed just fine and I love it. Im so happy I got mine pierced and I hope you decide to get yours done. I would suggest using a nose screw when its healed and you want to change jewelry. They are alot more comfortable. Have fun!

I have never heard that if you dont have a dent there that you cant get one. I dont think she knows what shes talking about. The ring they use is the ring that you need to keep for a while. I did mine myself (im too cheap to pay for it) and it fine but my friend got hers done and she said that it didnt hurt that bad but people also say that tatts dont hurt and OMG yes they do. I have 2 that hurt like hell but I love them so its worth it. I think that if you can stand getting the belly one done then you can do the nose. Its kinda sore for a few days then its all better. Just dont change it right away you need to let it heal first.
