Atheists, why are we have a tendency to be more sarcastic than the average person?

Good comedians have a rather sarcastic view of the world, too. It's all folly.
It's a valuable tool, and used correctly it has made some pretty intense moments, more bareable. Take the last 6 1/2 years with Bush.
I bought a Countdown Calendar for my Husband for Christmas. I'd thought we would have a laugh over all the bloopers that have come out of his mouth since he took office.
We were depressed by the time we got to May.
Sarcasm actually keeps you from getting morose!

I've known very sarcastic people from all walks of life...including Catholics, Jews, and Protestants of all branches. I don't know many atheists personally, but the few I've been acquainted with (from a class, a job, etc.) have been nice people.
I'd rather associate with a non-believer who is nice, than a believer who is a back-stabbing, gossipy, cheating liar.

I don't know, maybe it's because they have cold hearts. I'm just one of those "dumb Christians", so I wouldn't know. It seems like to much bitterness is in your lives. Sorry, I am happy, being with the Lord. All of the bitterness and ice, is gone. No reason to be sarcastic, unless, someone says Christians are not smart.

Sarcasm is a good mental excersize sometimes. And when done just right, is often pretty damned funny. Xians use it too sometimes, and that is also funny, but for different reasons. If you don't like sarcasm, this is not a good place for you to hang out in. LOL Have fun.

I don't think that atheists are more sarcastic than anyone else, I think that when people discuss religion they tend to become sarcastic.

Sarcasm and irony are my weapons of choice. There is hardly ever any malice in it, except a lot of theists do take it that way.

Sometimes if you say something and mean it... you can cover it up quickly by being sarcastic... it is a defence mechanism against the christians... I was being sarcastic... or was I???
