It may be a waste of time Markyyy, but I do try to answer earnestly to what look like earnest questions. It has helped me to view my own ideas in a critical light. I feel the first rule of a good skeptic is to question everything, starting with his own ideas.

I just danced around the Pascals Wager Maypole for the 4,000th time. Again, not cutting-and-pasting the response.
I also think people genuniely don't understand how someone could lose their faith. They think it was because of sin in my life or rebellion, so I always open that can of worms and be as raw as I can be. To their credit, most of the time, they seem genuine in their responses.
I think "realness" is still there - just under a few coats of armor.

It has happened, but usually the asker was also a Christian, but I do believe that some others have asked questions in which they truly seek answers to learn from.

Translation of Quran In English
Surah Al-A'la
Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High.
Who made and perfected.
And who after estimation guided.
And who brought forth the pasturage.
Then turned it dry black.
Now We shall teach you that you shall never forget it.
But whatever Allah wills, undoubtedly, He knows the open and the hidden.
And We shall make for you the things easy.
Therefore, admonish you, if admonition is profitable.
Soon he who fears will be admonished.
And the evil fated will be away from it.
He who will enter the greatest fire.
Then he will neither die there in nor live.
Undoubtedly, he attained to his goal who purified.
And offered prayer remembering the name of his Lord.
But you prefer the living world.
And the Hereafter is better and lasting.
Undoubtedly, this is in the ancient Books.
In the scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa.

I answer questions all the time directed to atheists, BUT very few, if any, are people really wanting to learn anything.

Well, since my particular beliefs are so ecclectic, never, but I'm here more for learning stuff myself, either by arguing and solidifying my argument or by reading what others say.

Most that I've answered lately have been from those who were looking to validate beliefs they already held, so I would have to say it's been a while.
