i asked one question about heaven and it left me with a lot more.?

Question

ok so people said all you have to do is accept and believe in God but what if i had piercings or tattoos? what about the people who drink or do drugs? can you still get into heaven if you dont like going to church? oh and a big one for me..does it matter what music i listen to?? i have a few marilyn manson cds i like to listen to.

i do accept, believe, and love God like ya'll said in another one of my questions but i dont feel like thats cutting it for me.

im struggling to find him, the last thing i need on top of all this is to start thinking he's not real.

and i have helped out..i have over 300 hours of volunteer work with children

God is absolutely real. Just change the way you see Him. God experiences life through you and I'd like to bet He's a rock n roll fan with a piercing. Be who you are Hun. God can only love you as you are. My own church is the field, the garden, the forests and rivers. Do you think God isn't in the bars and dance halls? She is everywhere Her children are.

You are like the waves the ocean , in on one thing , out on the
other . If you truly accept and love God , you will do anything
and all that he ask of you . So far all that you have said is that
you like the idea of God but are not willing to do anything else.
I say start with Love , go to a homeless shelter help feed them
or hold a little girl / boy tight in your arms and tell them that
everything is going to be alright and that you will be there for
them , teaching , maybe bringing a new toy that they lost in
a fire when their house burned down or just bring Hope and a smile that things are going to get better . You can go to a
child's cancer ward , they really just want a smile and a true
friend that will encourage them had hold their hand and
comfort them in the passing of death . Let them have some
of your life for theirs is short . What a difference you can make . Believe me , some will want to hear all about God and
where they are going and some will tell you all about God and
how wonderful He has been for them . You will be able to cry
with at time and for them to God at times . Knowing God is
Love and looking for opportunity to spread and share His
Love with others , strangers , etc. . When you truly are saved,
you will loose all interest in things that are not of Gods plans .
Don't give up , be persistent , draw close to our Lord and He

I believe something a little different then the popular idea. Most Christians will say all you must do is believe in (the divinity I would guess) Jesus Christ. What they don't say is that Christ had a lot to say. He had a specific and documented philosophy. How can you believe in a man if you do not believe in what they stand for? Your music, tattoos, piercings, clothes, are probably of no consequence. Have you stolen or killed for drugs? Have you harmed other people to support a habit? Those types of actions are contrary to what Christ taught. If you simply believe that Christ was alive or is a god really, it doesn't mean anything. You have to believe in what he taught and live by it. Don't let someone tell you what he taught. Read it for yourself and see if it makes sense to you. If it does and thats how you live then don't worry.

Do you think God really cares if you listen to Marilyn Manson or have tattoos. It is the Bible that guilts you into behaving a certain way and creates fear to control you. I think god laughs at us making a big deal over such small things. In the scheme of life, its not so important what you do, but who you are.

when you have truly accepted god and all that pertains to him you will just start doing things like putting old things away,Our body is a temple according to the SAVIOR and he took a piercing for us so that we wouldnt have too. But baby as long as you know and god knows it doesnt matter what anyone else says. And no you dont have to go to church to get in to heaven.There will be no buildings in heaven old things are passed away behold all things are new.So if you have to ask the question God must be softening you heart to let you know that he wants you to look like the lady that he intended you to look like.. People have manipulated religion into being one exact belief that you must follow or you will be thrown into the fires of hell. I think that if a person says this he or she is in a cult. In the ten commandments it says keep god's day holy i think that this means pray to god every day try to make each and every day your best. You shall not kill which means you shall not kill your self by excessive drink and drugs. Anything that kills your brain cells and soul isnt good for you drinkings is fine if you don't do it excessivley becuase in the bible people were drinking wine all the time. Tattos and music is great if they deal with positive energy and don't deal with satanism

Find your own inner peace and relationship with God. Listening to the religions of the world will only cause you madness and confusion. God does not need a book, nor does he need people to interject on His behalf to tell you how to reach him. God is more than capable of reaching you himself.

I'm not telling you this because I believe in any gods, I'm telling you this because if there actually was a god, he would not be limited to what the holy story books claim. Good luck to you, I hope you find the path that satisfies you.

Edit - Why is knowing all the facts the last thing you want to do? Do you really want to blindly follow a god that you're not even sure exists? The website above won't plant a seed of doubt. It will explicitely prove that god does not exist. It won't confuse you. It will simply show you the truth.

You WANT to believe in a god. That's understandable. A lot of people do. But do you want to believe in a god so badly that you are willing to ignore reality? If so, then I'm afraid I'm barking up the wrong tree. But something tells me I'm not.

all that stuff doesnt matter IF they are in prayer about whatever it is they are doing ie drinking or drugging or fornicating etc etc....the list goes on. but what I am trying to say is God will accept you as you are, it is up to you to accept Him in your heart and truly ask for forgiveness and ask for Devine help in the problems and situations you have on a daily basis. this is coming from a Preacher now, but I used to be a hardcore Biker with plenty of booze sex and drugs and Im clean now a couple years because the Lord came into My heart and changed Me on His time..I didnt do nothing but stayed obedient to Gods word...as far as the music I still love Ozzy and metalica and marilyn manson....so? its all good...and if GOD not man but GOD tells you to change, then He will give you the heart to want that change......

No one knows whether or not there is a heaven. If there is a heaven, no one knows what you have to do to get there. The guys who wrote the Bible had not heard Marilyn Manson’s music. That is why it is not addressed in the Bible.
