Some things are not seen if you believe to the contrary and you will see things that will substantiate your beliefs (not as much to the contrary, unless it is blatant).
So really, you need to not be attached to any belief or better yet have no belief to see what is...reality.
Our beliefs (for and against) are color glasses and blinders through which we look at what is.

Most things are seen differently by different people anyway, so "seeing is believing" is still in the eye of the beholder. A rational person knows that the WWF is all fake. But millions believe it to be real. And both see the same thing.A rational person knows that a magic show is tricks, slid of hand, yet many believe it is actually magic and again, both groups see the same thing. A rational person knows that ghosts do not exist, yet millions claim they do.
Personally I think there were such things as UFO's. They came, they saw, they observed, and they left. Never saw one but I bet that is what happened. They probably hoped we were only a delusion.

This questions reminds me of the story of when Columbus came to America. The natives on the island didn't see the ships for days, even though they were right on the horizon. This was because they had never seen anything like the big ships that were there, so their mind wasn't able to comprehend what they were seeing. It wasn't until a wise medicine man (I believe) explained to them what was coming, that they finally saw the ships.
So, I guess for most people, you have to see to believe.
Doesn't it make you wonder what may be right in front of your nose?

I don't know anymore. Everything I thought I believed can be explained away with science and psychology leaving only emotion and coincidence. Not exactly a strong basis for living my life.

Goes back to the whole if its not crazy to talk to God why are considered crazy if he talks back? LOL
I don't think its delusional. It gives people hope and peace and happiness. I hate that some people have taken some religions and twisted and warped them beyong recognition though.
