Why has a God that is both forgiving and eternally unchanging given a finite period in which humans can be forgiven? Surely if God was TRULY forgiving and loving, he would accept someone's prayer for forgiveness whenever it was prayed.

So, if I end up in hell, I can pray for forgiveness, and God will forgive me and give me a one way ticket to heaven?

Our lives are very short when you compare it with eternity. Why would a god leave a window for when you "accept Jesus" to be this very brief time on earth and then damn you for eternity if you don't accept during the "limited time offer."

It's either make-believe or he's a monster-god.

If you believe in him and try to live your life to the best of your human ability you will be saved and if you are truly sorry and ask for forgiveness i'm sure God will forgive you. I think that hell is only for people who deny good and love and want to stay evil. On another note i think i read somewhere that god put an archangel incharge of judgement of people and where they go because of god's eternal love he would send all people to heaven. I think that this archangel presents his judgement to god and god has the final say with the angels decision in mind. God can do watever he wants so i'm not really sure.

He set the way it was to be gained. And that is through Jesus Christ. Yes, by that criteria God accepts a prayer for forgiveness. He said so. The begins the relationship where God is trusted by the one who prays, gaining peace with him.

It is important to note that the heart has already changed to be in favor of God before that. And it's the heart that God says he looks at. To understand that, it would be good to look at the Parable of the Sower.
That's in Mark 4.

God loves you he is a forgiving God, he understands we are sinners. But to be forgiven we must repent of all our sins, renounce the negative things you have put into your body, and ask Christ to forgive you of all your sins. Ask him to renew your mind, pray and read your Holy Bible, pray for guidance to be taken to scriptures.

Once someone goes to hell, their soul stays for eternity in hell...That is why we must fear the things that are not of Christ, because you never know when you will be near death, and believe that if you were to be in place you don't belong, God hears you the minute you repent, ask for forgiveness, and forgive your enemies, that goes for family members as well, that minute you bought your ticket to heaven. God is good, and he died on that cross to not see you go to hell. Trust in the Lord and not your understanding. He knows you better than you do yourself, he knows what tomorrow holds for you. He knows you! Only God can judge us!

I have never heard of an end of forgiveness. Seems to me that the only way to not get forgiven is to do something that is not to be.

God is PERFECT, there is no error in Him. He gives you your entire life to be forgiven and often gives you many chances to do so. You can push Him away a thousand times and he will always forgive you, love you and take you back no matter what.

Why would you pray for forgiveness from God when He forgave all through the works that Jesus did.

He cannot forgive those who reject the son as they are not cleansed with the spirit until they do.

But Jesus forgave us all of our sins and once forgiven always forgiven, just naming and siting our sins to God in Jesus name is respect for authority and acknowlegement of what we did was wrong, Jesus died for it and wants us to walk on in a different "more aware of that sin" manner.

I'm lovin that!

All religions jewish, christian. islam in it's testmony are directing the same ideas with different words (summary) at eternal lives judgment will happen to all for the numbers, types of sins & right actions which will be listed by day & time to each creature will be said to him infront of every body and if he denied god will let his own body testify & say truth then will be send to hell or heaven (all of this to take care of treating each other in good ways in our own judgment weather we are with group of people seeing us or we are alone where god is seeing us &his devoted angels with us are spectaculing every thing).
