I am currently 170 pounds and 5'6...need to LOSE

Eat less calories than you use up.
Eat healthy.. low calories, fat and low carbs. No white bread, no white pasta.. Eat everything whole wheat. No beef.. eat white meat like chicken and pork. No candy, ice cream etc. Drink a lot of water and cereal for breakfast that's rich in fibre and with no sugar. Drink water instead of all other drinks.

Do 30-60 min cardio per day and add to that. (cardio: bicycling, jogging, swimming, dancing etc). Go for long walks too.. and try taking up a sport if you don't already go on lessons. Do 100-200 sit ups/crunches per day.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

i follow this every day and im in the best shape ever.

I went from 300 pounds to 160 pounds and still losing off and on. After failing at numerous attempts, my doctor recommended gastric bypass. Only if you need massive weight loss.

i say it to everyone..work out! thats the only way. diets are gnna be good for a while but people usually go back to their eating habits unless...u work out! thats when you really give up junk food cause you know how hard it is to burn up those cals! i say work out 4 times a week for 1 hour..run run run..if you cant run so much, start out by jogging for 2 min and walking for 5 and so on! good luck! take it from someone who went from 180 to 130 in 5 months!

I ate smaller portions, drank plenty of water to make myself feel full, and exercised. If you want to lose weight, there is no quick solution...It takes time and dedication. I would rather lose the weight gradually than to lose it quickly and put it back on. Good luck you can do it.

ok ill tell u wat U usually do ..... get bak home eat until u feel ur stomach z gona burst nd then 1 hour later U NEED DESERT loool .... am nt gona continue ,thats the problem with all of us we jst cant stop eating nd honestly food DOES make u feel better ... il give u thiz great advice .... i think u should disapear for a while jst set alone nd think y r u doin thiz keep food away frm ur world put model's pix on ... jst watch perfection nd compare am sure u ll find out how much u can improve ... STOP EATING ND GET UR FAT *** UP ND START RUNNIN ND DNT SAY U CANT .... ive been suffering for ever nd now it feels AMAZINGGGG 2 drop the weight .... fat z jst my enemy ... i rather die than get fat again ... food z only a sourse of energy dnt make it the main thing in life ... nd btww check those pills called phyto shape they r GREATT

Have fiber. Either eat foods like fruits and vegatables which have fruit in them, or buy the fiber powder. Mix it in whatever you're eating. It has no taste and confuses your stomach to thinking that it is full.
