Anyway, why are you so threatened by two consenting adults wanting to share their life together and have the same rights etc...

I have been with my partner for 17 years...but, do you know if he were in intensive care in the hospital, I would not be allowed to see him...because I am not considered, "immediate family"?

You could be denied entry to the funeral and any joint assets you own together, you might get half if you're lucky--if one of you died. Of course, it's a recurrent theme in Christianity to blame others for their societies perceived "moral decay." During the inquisitions, they blamed Jews and Witches and executed them by the thousands. I think they would do the same today to homosexuals if they thought they could get away with it. They've been using the same tired arguments for centuries to deny rights to other minorities so don't look for them to change anytime soon. Superstition breeds ignorance.

You should have the same rights as anyone else. The government's job should not be to monitor the moral compass of it's citizens--but rather to make sure that it's citizens are following the rules of society, which basically should be the golden rule.

I don't care what anyone does in the privacy of their own home, as long as it's between the two consenting adults.

That is OK, They used to consider it right to kill people who married people of other religions. It commands this several times in the bible.
Just be happy that we have progressed far enough that the Christers allow other religions to live. Eventually they will get the idea that other colors and orientations are humans too, and that what goes on between two consenting adults is none of their business.

Amen. This is why if you look at the issue strictly from a human rights point of view, there should be no debate at all.
