I just read the Red Queen's question, and was struck by the number of answers that said if the message is "Good" then it comes from God, but if it is "Bad" then it comes from Satan.

And there was one answer that pointed out that too often people claim that God told them to do exactly what they wanted to do. "How convenient".

Since it is the human brain that is trying to judge whether the message is "Good" (from God) or "Bad" (from Satan), then isn't it the human who is deciding what is Good and what is Bad and then attributing the message to God or Satan?

After all, if the message is perceived by the human to be "Good", then the human concludes the message must come from God.

If the message is perceived to be "Bad", then the human concludes the message must come from Satan.

The interpretation of the message depends entirely upon what the recipient believes is "Good" and "Bad".

If you are a bigot and the message praises you for it, then the message must come from God.

Ultimately, YOU, the individual with a conscience, decide what's good and bad. If your decision goes against the laws particular to your society and/or culture, there may be a penalty for your decision.

Good and bad, generally are decided by the society we live in. In one culture a thing considered bad can be good in another culture. So everything is relative.

But basic good things are not to hurt another human physically or emotionally and live life honestly. That I think is essence of existence. God and Satan should not disturb our equilibrium......
