My computer had a virus that automatically downloaded files onto my computer. I have gotten rid of the virus and all spyware that infected my computer. I have deleted all the files but I can't uninstall this one program it downloaded. Its called Weather Services. It wont open the program. I can't find it anywhere in the system. But its there when I go to "add/remove programs" and when I click remove, nothing happens. How do I get rid of it?? Its taking up a lot of memory!

Im not sure which one it is, so let's take this one step at a time.

If the program is auto loading, you can disable it.
Click STart - Run
Type msconfig[enter] (This can be done in regular Windows or in Safe Mode)

Go to the StartUp Tab.
Scroll down until you can find the Weather Services entry. This may take a bit to find. It may be mislabeled or it may have an innocuous name such as "wsmgr". (You can find out what most of these are by typing them into the search bar on http://www.processlibrary.com ) You can also find out where this program is located by checking the "Location" column. This is where you can find the files which the Weather Services is using to run.

When you discover it, you can disable it easily by clicking the box to CLEAR the check mark. Click APPLY, Click OK.
Reboot. When the Configuration Utility message comes up, click the box so that it will not start again and click OK.

Now, if you are unable to disable it using MSconfig, you may want to check out this list to see if any of these sites can help you uninstall this malicious program:

As we all know that it is normal to uninstall a program from Add/Remove programs list. But most of the time, some program will not list/be uninstalled from Add/Remove programs or with its built-in uninstaller. At this time, it is very necessary to uninstall it with a professional uninstaller to prevent some left-over files in the drives or registry. Of all the uninstallers I have used, Perfect Uninstaller is the one that I love so much. The "Force Uninstall" function allows us to uninstall programs that are not in the Add/Remove programs list, which is very suitable in uninstalling corrupted program. So wish you good luck!

Make sure you are in safe mode when you try to remove the program using add-remove programs. If this does not help please post back.
