Yeah i want to know the answer to this too ...let me tell you a story...that goes along with your question...Ok prom season is here in Houston and i wasn't planning on going to prom...mainly bc i dont have a date...and second i am not that kind of social person...i dont like to be in places with alot of ppl...i dont have a phobia btw...but anyways...2 weeks before prom my friends have been trying everything they could to get me to go to prom and have a good time...so they even asked girls around school if they wanted to go to prom with someone but they never said my name...so i saw one girl that they asked ...and she was way out of my league ...she is the beautiful white cheerleader type and you can call me the geeky asian but i guess i can be considered popular ...so i never though i can ever have this girl in anyway...meaning i dont think i can get her to go to prom or a date or be my gf or anything and i still believe that although it has been a week since prom...so but i asked her one day to prom...i was so far from my safety net that i was scared...i have never ever tried to asked a girl like her to anything ...plus i didn't know her that much and i have always had this little crush on her...anyways i asked her and when she said yes i was so happy...inside i jumped for joy...at prom when we got there we had a blast and when one of the slow songs came up i asked her to dance and when we dance i talked to her and i was literally the happiest man alive ...and now it has been a week after prom...and we talk we see each other here and there...and my friends that helped me witht he prom thing is pushing me to go and ask her on "a date" ( not "A DATE" yes there is a difference if you want the document i typed up about this IM on yahoo at Chinaman0389@yahoo.com or email me) and i am afraid to ask her now but i know that she said yes to prom for a reason and i plan to ask her once i get my schedule for my work...if you says again i will probably be so happy lol so...another way to answer your question...don't be afraid to be out of your safety net... just do it who cares...confidence and determination is the key... girls can sense that you are afriad and everything...so be cool, be yourself... dont give up...like a famous military strategist once said "PUSH, PUSH, NEVER RETREAT" remember that quote and remember don't ever give up on your self you will have second thoughts about approaching her and talking to her...you can remember my story i was so afraid of even talking to her and asking her to prom...and when i asked she said yes....and i am very proud and happy in myself...so just try to get out of your saftey net and you see how it feels....good luck man remeber IM me if you need help

Just relax. So long as her boyfriend is still in prison, you've got nothing to worry about.
Try to engage her in a conversation...about anything. If you've got a sense of humor, use it. If you're the smart one, help her with her homework. Look for common topics to talk about...teachers or parental rules are always good. If she is responsive to any of this, remember that it's more important to listen than to talk. Once she starts talking to you, one of two things can happen, she may figure out that you're a pretty decent guy, or you may find that she's not as interesting as you once thought. Either way, there's no down side risk, and it will bug you a lot less to see her with someone else if you take your shot first. Good Luck.

I would say your best shot would be to close your eyes, fantasize and take matters into your own hands.
Seriously, If you feel like you have no shot with her, either you or her thinks she is better than you, and we are all equals, so why put yourself thru that?

Find out what her favorite flower is, and get her a nice arangement with them in it. Stay away from roses if you can. This will show her that you care about her and want to make her happy. What woman wouldn't like that? Just do random nice things for her, but don't over do it. You don't want to be seen as a stalker.... lol

You can have a shot with anyone! You've just got to believe it yourself. Build up your self confidence and talk to this girl, be confident.
I'm a girl and confidence in a guy - gets me everytime.
Say hey and ask her for her number - better yet, if that's too hard... get one of your friends to ask her for it for you.

I would try being friends first, find out her interests, take her places that she enjoys, and places shes never seen before (positve places) Then maybe you can try to take her to places you like to see if you two have the same interests.

Try saying hi to her. Generally a good starting point and then maybe you can become friends... there are several things that could happen from there: 1. you could get to know her and realize she isn't worth it. - 2: you could get to know her and become good friends (better than nothing right?) - 3. You could get to know her, become friends and maybe something else will come from there.
