How can I make the volume of my PC louder?
I've tried everything! I maximized everything on my PC all the volume controls and yet the volume is to quiet. I'm sure it's not speakers because even with the earphones it is still to quiet. I'm sure it's also not the media player because I tried several videos and music from iTunes to Windows Media Player, Youtube etc. I'm so frustrated it's really quiet I can barely hear a sound! I'm pretty sure I've checked everything. So if you know something I missed or a solution to this problem please answer my question.
I dont know anything about soundcards but i am SURE that this wasnt quiet before, before it souded okay, I don't think I need new speakers. I wanted it to sound the way it sounded before

Sounds like you have checked the mst common things. Try going to the website of the manufacturer of your PC and downloading the audio driver and reinstalling it. That may resolve the issue.

If it worked well before and now has little volume, and you did not change anything, it is possible that the amplifier chip has died.
The solution is to have the output checked and if too low, replace the sound card.
If it is a built-in on the MB, then change to a plug in card and reset the BIOS to use the PC card rather than the built-in.

Need more info, what soundcard, what speakers, settings in your audio poperties, i.e. total volume, speaker volume aso. Where are you plugging in your headphones? What ohms are your speakers? Is your driver correct? Are you using the built-in sound codec?
