My 9 week old puppy just got her shots on Wed. and her front legs have been slowly getting larger. Is this normal? Will it go away? If so, how long will it last?

I am calling the vet, they are not open right now and will open shortly, I just wanted to see if this is normal. thanks a bunch

It turned out to be a mild reaction to the vaccines. I spoke to my vet about doing individual shots next time instead of one combo shot. All is well. Thank you all very much!

It sounds as though she has had an allergic reaction to her shots. It's actually not that uncommon and the symptoms and degree of severity can vary. Also some breeds are more prone to have reactions to certain vaccines than others.

I would get in touch with your veterinarian first thing in the morning and explain the situation. They may want to take a look at her depending on whether the swelling is getting worse or is improving.

She will need more shots so you need to discuss this with your vet. so that you know what action to take next time. You could also look into a holistic veterinary practice and see what they can suggest.

Hopefully it's just a mild reaction and is improving. Good luck

No, it's not normal, and your pup has had a reaction to the vaccines. This could be very serious. I'm sorry, I'm not trying to scare you, but this should not happen. Insist that this is reported to the vaccine manufacturers by the vet. Tell them to report it.......they are supposed to report all reactions, but don't always do it. Take a note of the name of the manufacturer, and the batch number, and inform the manufacturers yourself. In the meantime, I wish your pup all the best. I would personally antidote, but you need to see a vet asap. Good Luck! I hope it all turns out okay.

No not normal. Sounds like your pup is having a reaction to ther shots.
Call the vet and see what they have to say. I'd bring the pup in to the vets so they can see whats happening.

It is not good. Go to a 24 hour Vet, now. It looks like your puppy may have had an allergic reaction. It may not be serious, but if it is, it needs to be addressed immediately.
