Or a mixture of both?

Most atheists have studied religion much more than most Christians have, and to make it more entertaining it seems that the responses are from 16-yr-olds.

I think they truly believe that we haven't read the bible as intended because we haven't read it with the holy spirit. Nevermind that most of us were christians previously. But as they say, we weren't "really" christians.

So I guess I feel it's funny, sad and arrogant.

True, these responses are mostly from children, but that's because most of the adult christians have learned not to be baited.

Doesn't it make the victory a little bit empty?

You may well be right in this case about the atheists having more biblical knowledge.

Study religion with your HEART, not your HEAD. I would like to see your statistical data about 'most atheists'. Is that most ahteists you know?
Atheists, as all other humans on this planet have what is called a 'sphere of knowledge', anything outside that sphere is UNKNOWN.
So, to be a TRUE atheist, you would have to KNOW God didnt exist.
You would have to be everywhere in the UNIVERSE at once so this God-creature couldnt hide from you.
You would have to span all time at the same time so this God-creature couldnt hide from you.
If you can do this, it makes you GOD, nullifying your pathetic comment that God doesnt exist.
Atheists can only BELIEVE God doesnt exist, they cant PROVE IT, making themselves a FAITH-BASED BELIEF SYSTEM right along with us primitive Christians, and even more primitive evolutionists.

It's funny if the Christian is the atheist' doctor and the doctor knows the patient has only a couple days left to live.
So much to learn, yet so little time. Ha Ha Ha

That's most people's problem. They don't seek God, they study religion. You won't find Him there. Originally, religion was formed as a way to try to understand what our purpose was, and explain things we didn't understand. Christians don't follow a religion. We follow Jesus. He showed us the Father.

I wouldnt say that you are saved by knowledge but by grace. christians were all once ignorant, atheist, skeptic, or even persecuting other christians...it isnt knowledge that saved them, its an encounter with the Lord :), grace.

Apostle Paul was once Saul of Tarsus..its not knowledge that turned him 'round..

bless you

It's kind of sad to me.

I have a good grasp on the basics of Christianity, but I've met a lot of Christians (not all mind you) that don't have a basic grasp of evolution.

When will they learn about what I believe? :(

I kind of find it funny. Not really because it is condescending, which it is, but because they don't seem to realize that they really have no more information at their disposal than anyone else, and in fact sometimes they have quite a bit less.

Well it is only their opinion. What they don't get is we all have much to learn. They are not more learned than anyone else.
