The soul is another invention of man.
In order to explain to ancient man how he left his dead body and travelled to paradise, the soul was invented. Naturally, as with all things invented in the same way, it is very conveniently invisible.
same goes for all and any gods that have been invented in the history of thinking man - all invisible.
let's face it, lonnie-tunes, invisibility = fake.
God is fake.
The soul does not exist. It is invisible = fake.
Don't come back with examples of other known things that we cannot see but do exist - gravity, etc. We are above such stupidity.

"The soul has its origin in the spiritual worlds of God. It is exalted above matter and the physical world. The individual has his beginning with the soul, coming from these spiritual worlds, associates itself with the embryo at the time of contraception. But this association is not material; the soul does not enter or leave the body and does not occupy physical space. The soul does not belong to the material world, and its association with the body is similar to that of a light with a mirror which reflects it. The light which appears in the mirror is not inside it; it comes from an external source. Similarly, the soul is not inside the body; there is a special relationship between it and the body, and they together from a human being."

DUST + BREATH = SOUL

The Biblical definition of a soul is simply a breathing body. Notice that the text does not say that man was given a soul, but rather he became a soul. A soul is not something a person has, it is the person. Souls have blood (Jeremiah 2:34). Not only are people souls, but so are fish and animals (Revelation 16:3).

The Hebrew word for soul, nephesh, is variously translated "person" (Genesis 14:21), "self" (Leviticus 11:43), "life" (Psalm 31:13), "me" (Judges 16:30), "creature" (Genesis 1:21), "beast" (Leviticus 24:18), "man" (2 Kings 12:4), "thing" (Ezekiel 47:9), and "fish" (Isaiah 19:10). When translated "body" the nephesh is usually dead (Leviticus 21:11).

The Greek word for soul, psuche, has the same meaning. In Matthew 16:25 Jesus commends anyone who will lose his soul (psuche) for Christ’s sake. It is often translated simply as "life" (Matthew 2:20). It means "person" (Acts 7:14). "My soul" and "your soul" are idiomatic expressions meaning "I" and "you" (Matthew 12:18; 2 Corinthians 12:15, margin).

I'm an atheist, but I believe we have souls. I don't know what a soul is, or where they come from, but I think souls are what give us our humanity. They help us to form morals and values, know right from wrong. Possibly, our souls are our conscience. People who have no emotions or empathy have empty souls, while those who are caring, compassionate, kind, patient and loving have strong souls. I think our souls make us who we are.

Aren't you sitting on your asole? LOL
Sorry, couldn't help myself.
The existance of a soul has not been proven. However, I believe that what we call a soul is a lovely combination of our physical brain's higher functions and the naturally occuring energy of life that has yet to be properly studied and defined. But I also believe that both cease to exist at the moment of death.

The soul, according to many religious and philosophical traditions, is the self-aware essence unique to a particular living being. In these traditions the soul is thought to incorporate the inner essence of each living being, and to be the true basis for sapience. It is believed in many cultures and religions that the soul is the unification of one's sense of identity. Souls are usually (but not always as explained below) considered to be immortal and to exist before their incarnation in flesh.

A soul is that supernatural power that characterizes and gives movement to the molecules which constitute the texture of the living matter . It is felt when it is given but it is untouchable because it is not concrete.
