Interesting question...There are some writings that suggest that Jesus did visit Hades (Hell) after His death and before His resurrection. These writings claim that He resurrected saints with Him, those that were in Hades. And because He was God in the flesh, that would mean that God was in Hell at one time. In my opinion, whether He was there in the past or not, I would think He physically cannot be there in spirit or in body (on a consistent basis) because light cannot be where darkness is. However, I would think He could be there in thought. Let me explain. I would think those individuals that are in hell and suffering, who had rejected Him while alive, would long to be near Him now. They would long for His peace and His love. They would constantly THINK about His goodness and the things they had rejected about Him. Hell, as far as I am concerned is being separated from God's love and presence. Hope this answers your question.

Hell HAS NOT been Created YET. This WILL Happen at Judgment Day for Satan and the fallen Angels who TRIED to overthrow God in the 1st Heaven and Earth Age. You can read about the 3 different Heaven and Earth Ages in the Books of Peter in the New Testament. By the way, it will be for ALL Sinners also.

It is my belief that hell is not created yet. We lie in the grave and wait for the resurrection. No one who has ever died, with the exception of Christ, has gone anywhere but the grave. Hell will not be created until God confines satan there and the final judgment has taken place. Satan is not in hell as we speak. He is the "prince" of the earth. God cast him to the earth. He has not left since God put him here.

Psalm 139:8 - "If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there."
It is not that he is really literally everywhere; rather, there is no place we can be that is not within his reach, whether we are trying to escape punishment or we need his protection or help.

He sees hell but He doesn't have to be there and even if He were there what difference would that make?

Hell is the absence of God. It's the one place you won't find Him, by choice.
If God were there, it wouldn't be hell, for the definition of hell is the absence of God.
