To insult someone is not very Spiritual to start with
However I believe when you insult someone it is for the Fact
That it is something you see in that person you don't see in yourself and look at the situation in roll reversal

It depends on what you consider to be an insult and if they deserve the insult.

In the many discussions I have with Christians and other religious people, the insults come in two varieties.

1) The person is insulted that I don't hold his superstition with the same reverence that he does. I could be very polite and straighforward in my answers, but the person will still feel insulted.

2) The person says something insulting, usually masking his insult in his "righteousness". He might not even realize he is making the insult. An example of this might be, "Atheists are immoral". That is a direct insult. The person should not be surprised that the atheist feels slighted, and shouldn't be surprised when the atheist points out all the atrocities committed in the name of some god or another.

What makes me right is that I didn't ask for anyone to share anything with me. When it's forced on you it's not sharing.

I don't insult people I tell them the truth. If they don't like it then they probably shouldn't run around witnessing to people who don't ask to be witnessed to. They have to learn there is a place and time. The time is when you are asked, not because you feel you have the right to to force your beliefs on them.

honey there's a DIFFERENCE between SHARING and SHOVING IT DOWN A PERSONS THROAT!

and trying to dictate the lives of all the people in the country...

do you honestly think that the people you're trying to "share" with HAVEN'T read the bible? many atheists have read the bible better than YOU have...actually i think even people of OTHER religions would have, because people of other religions are generally not as close minded as christians and i have met a lot of them who have studied religions other than their own,but unfortunately only a very few christians who have studied any other religion except christianity!
