if you drink water it doesnt mean you are not losing water weight and you ARE slowing down your metabolism - dramatically.
thats a crash diet you do and leads to higher body fat percentage.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Eat only when hungry and that too not more than three times a day. Nothing to eat/drink other than water in between. Take plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits to make ur meals healthier. Chew each morsel 32 times to activate ur body signal system of hunger/fullness.

Take regularly light exercises and briskwalks preferably twice a day.

U will achieve results u have not even dreamt effortlessly.

Yes that's excellent; but for the 30 minutes your walking, try to mix it up. 10 minutes - running high intensity 10 minutes - walking to relax 10 minutes - running low intensity 10 minutes - running high intensity your going to need to do 40 minutes atleast to get the right exersise. that way you will burn more calories; and get your metabolism moving quicker as well as your heart rate; so once you get that pumped up, for half the rest of the day you will be burning calories like crazy. Good luck and i completely know what you mean bye not having tI'me to exercise; im exactly the same way, but your lucky you even have a treadmill i have to run in place .. and that gets extremely EXTREMELY boring and hard on the legs.

1 pound a day is to much. Eat more than 5 salads. Eat sensibly. Your going to crash eventually with this routine. It's doomed from the beginning. Losing body fat takes time. You may very well be losing muscle. Don't trust scales. Trust the mirror.

If all you eat is salad.. it's probably a bad diet. There is no significant protein in a lettuce for example... and you are therefore starving yourself of the one thing your body requires to repair muscle fibre... the thing all that exercise is damaging... so chances are that you are losing weight but you are losing lean muscle mass as well as body fat. You may be getting lighter quickly but you are quite possibly getting less healthy as well. The objective of a good diet is to reduce body fat.. not to lose weight at whatever the cost.

to me, that is a bad diet. Your only 14. You need more than just salads. add grains or meats. If your a vegetarian, there are plenty other things you can add in there. Definitely grains and breads, i would add. If anything, watch your calorie intake instead. Im not sure what is recommended for a 14 year old but since you exercise everyday, you are allowed to eat more than what a non active person would. Definitely losing 1 pound a day is unhealthy.

You need to eat more than salads. That's not healthy. You need your protein and other important vitamins and minerals. If you are a vegetarian try adding some beans and other foods that have protein. And add some multivitamins and maybe a protein shake in there to help you get your recommended intake.

1 pound a day is NOT healthy! You shouldn't be losing more than 2 pounds a week!

You need to eat a balanced diet. Your body needs protein, carbs, etc to survive long-term.

The exercise is good, but you need to work on your diet.

Edit - you also need calcium. When I was in school, there was a girl who was losing weight crazy fast (and she didn't have anything she needed to lose). It turned out that she wasn't getting enough calcium and was losing bone mass.

Sounds alright, you're eating ok and exercising well, but I find it difficult to believe you're losing a pound a day, and also if you're losing more than 2 pounds a week, you are losing MUSCLE not fat, which is dangerous.

Yes that is also a good workout. As long as you're not JUST eating salads you're ok if you add beans and grains like brown rice.
