Can someone tell me what this part of the neck is called ?
http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t222/emzuler/neckanatomy.png
Can someone confirm for me if it is just called the 'Jugular' ? I know i've heard a couple of 'nicknames' for it, just like with the 'adams apple'. But i can't remember it for the life of me anymore. Anyone know ?

Thanks!

It is called the suprasternal notch or the jugular notch. You wouldn't just call it the jugular because that usually refers to the jugular veins.

If you are referring to the internal rounded part that moves a bit when you swallow it is your larynx. Nick names are voice box and adam's apple. They protrude or stick out more on a man and you can see it rise and fall when they swallow.

The arrow is pointing to a place just below the larynx which is addressed in Vegan's answer.
