for graphics design. I'm working on a project to design a copyright image for an organisation, i have the drawing on paper but i dont have any software to implement it on a PC. i've tried using adobe photoshop but it didnt help,.....any ideas...thanks

Ok.. If you're using it to design a graphic like a logo and stuff, then Photoshop alone will not cut it for you. (By the way, as a previous answer said, GIMP is free and its a photoshop comparable program). What you really need is Adobe Illustrator. Illustrator is what you use to create your own graphics like logos, etc. You can combine that with Photoshop so you can port in pictures or images or vice versa. However, Illustrator takes some time to learn before you can be any good at using the software, and the learning curve is quite high at the start.

Also, Illustrator is not free although you can trial it for 30 days.

If you've tried and failed with photoshop, you won't be getting anywhere.
Check tutorialized.com for photoshop tutorials.
