It is my middle name. It will always be traditional.
Some names run in fads. My younger sister thought 37 years ago when she named my niece Heather that it was some unusual. Now there are Heathers all over the place.
I was named Shirley back in the Shirley Temple days. However I wasn't named for Shirley Temple but a little girl my mother thought was pretty. However, because of Shirley Temple, there were a lot of Shirleys when I was growing up.
Some old names people would have laughed at a few years back are coming back, like Savannah. I believe the day is coming when people will be laughing at Tiffany.

Ann is a beautiful name. It means graceful. Someone above said "It isn't original". A name doesn't have to be original to be classy.

Yes, it is. Like all the others said, it's simple and short. But maybe you could try some more unique names. They're fun to use when meeting new people.^^

Just don't use it as a middle name, I know so many people with that name, it is definetly not original.

Sure, I think it's really pretty even though it's not quite as popular now - makes it even more special because of it being a classic but not as many have it nowadays, which adds to it's sophistication. :)
