The Bible does not promote drugs and Moses was an apostle of Allah. The thing that lets you to misunderstand is the language. The Bible you are reciting is translated from its original script and there are lots of changes which hides the original message from the Original Bible.

There is one book where you can find original message of the original Bible. And that book is The Holy Quran revealed by Allah, The Most Knowing.

The bible does not promote drugs. It is a wrong interpretation of bible. People can not think or relate something beyond their experience; so when a read or hear something new, always tries to relate their own experience. Misinterpretation of religion starts from there. Just think of astronomy, the verses about it in Bible and Quran. What about the movement of the earth around the sun ? The Quran has clear verses about it. Now, we can understand it because, we can relate it to our experience. But in the past , people ( even Muslim scholars) gave many explanations about it. Because, they could not relate it with their experience. We can understand it because The Quran has not changed.
The Bible is believed to be edited. Some good scholars edited Bible because the could not able to understand it at that time. The did it to save (!) the religion so that people can easily understand it and accept it. Just adapted it to relate their experience at that time.

Now, about Moses. What prompted you to think that Moses was a bad guy ? Probably, Moses killed a man accidently by a blow when he was in an altercation with him. It was his destiny this way designed for him by the God. After that, he had to leave Egypt, search for a new place (Jerusalem), and that originated a new religion. We can control our lives upto 90-95% by our deeds, the rest is destiny. That man was destined to killed by Moses by just a single blow to start a new era in history.

The trouble with drugs is they take control. You can sythesize any drug by positive thoughts. Cheaper, safer. Street drugs, you don't really know what you are getting. They say morphine is the best drug and endorphines are in the same family.

You mis-interpreted that chapter and verse, Read John, chapter 8 verses 3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10&11. Moses told the people to stone a women that comitted adultry. By stone it was meant to throw stones at her, not stone as in dope!

What about this one?

Isaiah 57:1, 2
The righteous perish, and no one takes it to heart; the devout are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil.
Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death.
