By not reading it honestly. Though, that doesn't seem too difficult. People believe in all kinds of superstitions.

First off it takes alot of faith to believe in the Bible...but at the same time...it is common sense to know that what is in it is real...but that is if we do our research...reading the Bible alone is not enough...When you meditate on what you are reading, make comparisons, and examine the ENTIRE Bible...not just parts or half of it...from Genesis to Revelation...all is real to you. Also in the Bible at 2 Timothy 3:16 it says: "All Scripture is inspired of God..." & 2 Peter 1:21 says: "For prophecy was at no time brought by man’s will, but men spoke from God as they were borne along by holy spirit." So this is not man's word, but God's and we can believe in and trust in the Bible because God only teaches us the truth.( example: like a business man may use his secretary to write a letter for him...but it is not from the secretary even though she may have written it...it was the business man's thoughts and instructions...). How do we know we can trust that these men wrote the right things and that they got it right? The Bible was written over a period of about 1,600 years(no man has lived to be 1600years old...lol...) and it was written by different men...of different backgrounds...different statures...different ages...etc.(anywhere from kings to a fishermen & judges to farmers). However the Bible is harmonious and accurate through and through...(and these men were not all related-so it's not like a family book). Another point is the Bible is scientifically accurate, it even contains information that was far "proved" ahead of it's time or even fulfilled(and there are still some prophecies yet to be fulfilled). Wow...i could reall go on and on right now...but check out this website or the following article for more reasonings and explanations: http://watchtower.org/e/t13/article_01.htm & www.watchtower.ORG.....i hoped i helped answer your question and if you have any more feel free to get back to me...have a great weekend...

Confusion in Bible
Only two contradictions of the New Testament have been mentioned, but others will be referenced when the Trinity, Divinity of Jesus Christ, Divine Sonship of Jesus, Original Sin and Atonement are reviewed.
How could the "inspired words" of God get the genealogy of Jesus incorrect (See Matthew 1:6-16 where it states 26 forefathers up to Prophet David, and Luke 3:23-31 says 41 in number). Or for that matter, give a genealogy to Jesus who had NO father? See II Kings 19:1-37, now read Isaiah 37:1-38. Why is it that the words of these verse are identical? Yet they have been attributed to two different authors, one unknown and the other is Isaiah, who are centuries apart; and yet, the Christians have claimed these books to be inspired by God.
I looked up the word Easter in the Nelson Bible dictionary and learned that the word "Easter" (as mentioned in Acts 12:4) is a mistranslation of "pascha," the ordinary Greek word for "Passover." As, you know Passover is a Jewish celebration not a Christian holiday. I think human hands, all to human, had played havoc with the Bible.
From the brief points mentioned above, and the fact that Biblical scholars themselves have recognized the human nature and human composition of the Bible (Curt Kuhl, The Old Testament: Its Origin and Composition, PP 47, 51, 52), there should exist in the Christian’s mind some acceptance to the fact that maybe every word of the Bible is not God’s word.
As a side note to this subject, let me mention that some Christians believe that the Bible was dictated to Prophet Muhammad (SAW) by a Christian monk, and that is why some of the biblical accounts are in the Quran. After some research, I found that this could not have happened because there were no Arabic Bible in existence in the 6th century of the Christian era when Muhammad (SAW) lived and preached. Therefore, no Arab, not even Prophet Muhammad (SAW) who was absolutely unlettered and unlearned, would have had the opportunity to examine the written text of the Bible in his own language.

IN 1978,astronomer Robert Jastrow wrote;"Now we see How the astronomical evidence leads to a biblical view of the origin of the world. The details differ, but the essential elements in the astronomical and Biblical account of Genesis are the same: the chain of of events leading to man commenced suddenly and sharply at a definite moment in time in a flash of light and energy.'''--GOD AND THE ASTRONOMER(new york,1978) page 14.

The Author of the Bible is still alive. A relationship with Him is amazingly helpful in understanding His book, believing His words and helpful in every way in all things in life.

Romans 10:9 is our introduction to that vital relationship.

But... bottom line? --the Truth is demonstrated by POWER: signs, wonders, miracles, answered prayers-- all of this- not just some of it. All that is false and full of lies, will have no power to back it up.

1 Corinthians 2:4
And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power!
1 Corinthians 2:5
"that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God!"

We can argue science and opinion until Jesus returns- but then that's just a bit too late. Your proof is in the power!

If you find someone talking about TRUTH but can show no power? Move past him and talk to someone who can demonstrate the Truth BY the power.

Hope this helps!

Say, 'Then bring a Book from Allah which is a better guide than these two books - the Torah and the Qur'an - that I may follow it, if you are truthful.'

Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. And those who are with him are hard against the disbelievers but tender among themselves. Thou seest them bowing and prostrating themselves in Prayer, seeking Allah's grace and pleasure. Their marks are upon their faces, being the traces of prostrations. This is their description in the Torah. And their description in the Gospel is like unto a seed-produce that sends forth its sprout, then makes it strong; it then becomes stout, and stands firm on its stem, delighting the sowers - That He may cause the disbelievers to boil with rage at the sight of them. Allah has promised, unto those of them, who believe and do good works, forgiveness and a great reward.

It's like a bedtime story when you were a child. The Bible is just a very confusing fairytale. You should read it, if you have not already. It comes with CliffsNotes too. Called the Ten Commandments.
