here this guy stated "What meaning does life have, if it has any meaning at all from a Godless perspective?"....don't you realize that it's only BECAUSE you believe in God that he's so important to you?

if i asked you,"what does your life mean to you from a santa-less perspective?" wouldn't you think i was being ridiculous?

and how would you know that we're living "sad, unhappy" lives just because we don't believe in God? if you don't believe in something,it doesn't have any impact on your life so you don't "miss" it anyway!

these questions are completely condescending and annoying....why do so many of you ask questions like this?

I love those questions. No better display of the christian mentality out there.

I can understand how his question could have sounded condescending. Many atheists believe that after death, there is nothing. No afterlife, nothing. Everything just stops (correct me if I'm wrong). To many people this can seem like a pretty depressing view of a life. Other religions believe in some type of afterlife, not just christians. It would be interesting to hear more about the atheist view of death. But I agree with you that it is almost impossible to have a rational discussion about anything on this board because there are many annoying posters on both sides of the issue.

God has given each of us a door to our heart. Only we can open that door. Jesus has been standing at the door and knocking (Revelation 3:20) and yet some people don't want to open their door to allow Jesus in. Instead, they go to the door and even nail it to shut it and not let the one knocking to come in. Isn't this what the aetheists are doing?

God will settle account with all of us on Judgment Day. Will it be too late for the aetheists to realize how wrong they were? The saying "Better late than never" is not applicable in this instance. The saying should be, "If you are late, you are late. Period. Full stop." Repentance can only be done while we are still alive. Once we physically die, we cannot ask for forgiveness of our sins anymore.

So while there is still time, change our wrong beliefs. Change our wrong and evil ways. Come back to God and turn a new leaf in life. Physical death when it occurs will be the happiest moment in the life of a person who has faith in Jesus and has asked for forgiveness of his sins and did good works. On the other hand, it will be the scariest moment for one who is sinful and does not know God.

To you and the type you interpret the Bible they are. yet to others Atheists are no longer deceived through mendacity spirits. stop speaking as though the only real source of info and documents is the Bible, it extremely is what you persist with. no longer what anybody else in the international follows, you carry shame on people who call themselves stable and dedicated Christians.

Well, I do have to say Christmas became much less fun without Santa. Maybe I am still bitter. Hand me a razor blade.....
JUST KIDDING!

I agree with you. Questioners like this are myopic. They can't even imagine that there are other people living fulfilled lives without God.

The idea that humans might have been all right to begin with is antithetical to Christianity. "You're a sinner, and we have the cure" is equivalent to "You have a virus, and we just happen to have a registry cleaner at our website."

It comes from an inability to imagine other points of view -- an affliction as old as humanity itself.
