I have not yet bought it, but plan to buy and read it very soon. Pope Benedict XVI is undoubtedly the greatest theologian of this century! That is not just my personal opinion; it is the opinion of many people who have studied various theological writers and who recognize that they are not all of equal quality. Pope Benedict XVI's writings are of a very high quality, though not always easy to understand. They take effort. But the effort is well worth it, for there is often a goldmine to be discovered!
Good luck with your continuation of the book, and please do keep us up-to-date as to your progress in reading it.

You look to think of that that's relaxing to stay in the midst of a crumbling museum. The undertaking of the Catholic Church is to proclaim and set up the dominion of God all started through Jesus Christ between all peoples. The Church endeavors to shop souls. conserving the valuable artwork attainable on the Vatican in have confidence for all mankind to come back, see, and motivate thought in the dominion of God is a factor of this undertaking. The Church might desire to have the skill to advance a pair of billion money through merchandising each and every thing yet that could quickly be long previous and the international does not be a lot extra valuable off. exceptionally if mankind does not exchange for the extra valuable. the two the old and New testomony says that it is the undertaking of all mankind (which includes you and me) to love our buddies as much as we adore ourselves. that's our activity to stop poverty and create justice and peace. If each and every man or woman in the international gave $10 then $60 billion may well be raised. If the a billion human beings in the richest worldwide places gave one $one hundred each and every then $one hundred billion may well be raised. no longer in basic terms do those riches make the Vatican artwork collections look paltry, it extremely is barely a fragment of what can extremely be raised if human beings have been given their priorities at present day. You and that i and something of humanity can do a lot a lot extra to "help human beings" than the Vatican can all through itself. we'd desire to stop making excuses for our selfishness through pushing the blame directly to the Catholic Church. With love in Christ.

Nope. Benedict XVI in no way measures up to his predecessor, and I did not support him during the papal election process. Give a non-European a chance, for once.

I couldn't be bothered. I'm trying to plow my way through the god delusion, which to date, seems dull dry and boring, glad I just checked it out from the library, nothing lost.
