Maybe you should propose to him? He already asked and you said no, so maybe he's afraid you'll say no again. My bf's parents have been together for 30 years but never married. If things are good between the two of you, you live together and have kids, why would you leave? But honestly, just ask him and I'm sure he'll say yes! Or, after 10 years, the least you could do is talk to him and tell him what you're looking for. Has he said he doesn't want to get married now?
Good luck!

If both of you are being together for 10 years, I believe it is good to settle down and enjoy the warmth of family and love. If he don't have the intention to settle down at this stage, you really can't do much. You have to know what is the main reason that is behind it before you decide if you should let go of the relationship.

You cant force him to marry you, he has to do it on is own. If you have been with him for 10 years and he is not ready to commit, then its time to move on. Then again you guys are married...COMMON LAW.

tell him that you thought that you both needed to be in the right place. but now you see that there is really no right place, when you love someone you committ and you think that you should get married. because it is what both of oyu want and your both ready to complete this already happy family.

Since he asked you and you shot him down - maybe you should be the one to ask him! Get a sitter - make a trail of candles to you room and sit on you bed with a rose and ask him to marry you!

Give him a choice.........would he rather pay child support and possibly alimony? [depending on what the law is in your state for that problem] or marry you? It's up to him! When he makes his choice, see an attorney or minister.

maybe you should be the one that asks him to marry you! If he really loves you and wants to be with you he will say YES! Be spontaneous! The only way you are going to know for sure is ask him!!!!
