Hello, Fiance and I are getting married in april. I guess our financial situation is okay. We have been engaged for a little over 2 years. In a way, this long engagement bought us a little bit more time to be financially better than where we were when we first got engaged. Although we were done with college when we first got engaged and have had full time jobs and insurance, we didn't have a house and haven't travelled as much as we wanted to. Over the course of our engagement, we've managed to buy a house and travel. We also made sure that we won't have to rely on other people (parents) to pay for or a part of our wedding. I am glad that you are thinking this through. If you think that you would not be financially independent by 2011, you can push back your wedding. Good luck

Yes, respect his wishes and move on. You have jerked him around and he needs his space to gain his self-respect back. THINK ABOUT HIM FOR A CHANGE...SINCE YOU LOVE HIM SO MUCH! I don't mean to be harsh, just truthful. I know that I cannot get involved with a man who makes less money than I do because I will eventually regret it and possibly castrate him as you have done. I am just forward looking as to what I do and do not like in a man and I am honest with myself. Why get myself or him all emotionally tied up knowing that his lack of finances, education, drive or anything else that bothers me will eventually have me looking away from him.
Look within and get honest with yourself and only choose men you know you can deal with their situations from the start.

Are you really so shallow that you would let money,or lack of it,come between you and someone you love. This guy is right in being mad at you.The only thing you can do is wait for him to calm down.Give him a week or two.then go over, sit down and tell him that you still love him.DO NOT mention money. If he still loves you he will forgive you.But you have to get over this gold digger attitude you have.

No point going back to him cuz u've already broken the poor guys heart twice... True Love does not come your way very often. Find someone else - once u feel u are ready for committment and for Heaven's sake think twice if u decide to break up

I've heard that the most common cause of divorce is that one partner is spending all of the other partner's money.
People really should think through the financial aspects of marriage before marrying. It's better to break up now than to do it after you marry. I don't know all the details of your situation, obviously, but this has the general shape of a legitimate reason.

I don't know how old you are. I'm 42. I can say from experience, you have a legitimate concern. As much as you love him, this could end up screwing up your credit.
You have a tough decision to make. But first and foremost, you have to take care of you. If he is dragging you down financially, you will regret it.
Hope this helps

"and i told him that i knwe now that i love him so much"
This is what you said.
and you didn't know you loved him when you accepted the ring or proposal?
sorry, you got what you deserved and he learned who and what you really are.
maybe he'll find a girl that loves him unconditionally to marry, and you'll find a guy with a better credit score.

you should have never ended it with him anyways you can't blame him for not trusting you... if your planning to marry the man you need to learn how to stand by your future husband through thick and thin and work out any situation he or you might be in. Once you get married it is not seperate issues the both of you go through it is the same issue the both of you have to go through.

Go find yourself a rich dilettante and get him to marry you.
Then call your boyfriend and get him on the hook for flings. Chances are, he'll like this arrangement.
