im turning 18 and graduating soon so like heres what happened. ive had my drivers license for like 2 years and im graduating soon so for an early graduation present my parents bought me a car. now i have posters of my dream bmw in my room. so they know the 1 i wanted. well, i come home from school and in the garage my dad suprises me with the bmw. i acted like i like it but i was totally thinking.. hello its green and its not a convertible. then i find out its not even new. its a 2006 model with like 15000 miles. i really dont want to be seen driving to college in it. how can i tell them to take it back in a nice way. i feel like saying if your gonna get me a car, you can at least get me the one i wanted. i dont want to hurt their feelings cause they were so excited when they were giving it to me. i dont understand it cause 1 time they got my sister the exact car she wanted. color and everything. its was a ford mustang convertible and it was new. its so unfair. how can i tell them?

Wow. I agree with the other answers, you don't deserve a car. I literally hate the type of person you are. Have you ever worked a day in your life? Is your biggest problem that your parents didn't buy you the exact car you want?
My parents bought me a $900 car with 115,000 miles on it when I got my license and I was more than grateful. I shared it with my dad and it lasted a good year. When I graduated from high school I didn't ask for a car. I was happy with the graduation party they arranged. I didn't even want them to buy me a car because I felt they were doing enough for me by paying for my college and raising me right.
It doesn't sound like your parents did a good job of raising you and judging from your question I'd say you could use another year or two before entering the real world. You make me sick. I honestly hope you fail at everything you attempt after high school so that you can learn that life doesn't hand you anything.
Judging from your other questions and the answers you have given, I think you're completely full of ****.

Stop being a spoiled brat and be thankful your parents bought you the car Learn to be a grateful that your parents have jobs and can afford to give you a car Maybe you should get a job a learn how hard it is to make a dollar With all the people out of jobs and homeless in the United State how dare you complain Do you relize that some people can not afford a car because they have lost a job that has been out sourced or the company has gone out of business Grow up get a life

wow I can even begin to understand how someone can have a world view like this but yeah you don't wanna be put down so i wont tell you anything about being selfish or unappreciative so here I go......... you don't want the car just tell them sounds like your pretty spoiled anyway so what do you care about how they feel I wouldn't expect them to buy you another one though YOU DONT LIKE WHAT THEY GAVE YOU THEN BUY YOUR OWN CAR!!!!! but just a little advice on college from a graduate your better off having a crap car that wont get stolen broken into beaten ect. and a nice car when you don't have to park in apt parking lots or dorm lots. also anything free is awesome in college I have $20,000 worth of school loans to pay off and cant even imagine a car payment on top of that especially a BMW so there's my advice but personally if I were you I would prioritize my values family will always love you and cars (expensive or not) will always break

As children of our parents, we will never be able to repay whatever they had done and sacrifice for us since the day we're born. They had sleepless nights just to look out for us when we sleep in that crib. They will wake up instantly at the sound of our first cry in the middle of the night. Our mothers had to carry us in their wombs for nine months just to have us into this world.
They could have opted for not to have kids but we're here now. Not to forget how much they had spent on milk powder, clothes, food, diapers, clinic/hospital bills when we were a baby.
How could you ask for more? Can you repay when they had spent on you from the day you were born? You should be grateful and not asking as though you deserve it.
So what if you're prettier than you sister? Are you prettier than the winner of every year's Miss World, Miss Universe, Miss America? Are you a top student in academic?
A car is just a mode of transportation to take us where we want to go. So what if it's green or **** colour? I'm sure you won't die by seeing that colour, right?
Try putting a pillow around your belly and pretend to be your mother when she was expecting you. And then, try going everywhere with it for NINE consecutive months.

You sound like an ungrateful brat. How many kids do you know get a BMW on their 18th birthday? Take that back..how many kids get a car at all on ANY birthday??? Then again I can't totally blame you, I'm sure your parents created this monster. Wow! this car is a whole one and a half years old. DAMN this old piece of sh*t BMW. Uhhh would you prefer the bus? How about an old *** datsun? Oh I know....how about no car at all???? Boo-hoo...my sister got the car she wanted...wah-wah! Grow up!
Read your question again......one word..UNGRATEFUL!
I had to buy my first car. I was 18 years old just like you and you know what? It showed me responsibility and the value of a dollar. Two years later I bought a BRAND new car,,,the one I really wanted with my own money. Maybe your parents should have made you do the same thing.

Far out man, way to sound like a spoiled rich kid. You should feel grateful that your parents got you a car at all.
I bought my first car myself, and it was a 1988 model! I have just now purchased another car, a 1999 model that has done (now don't fall off your chair rich kid) 127,000kms!
I worked for everything I have ever had in my life and my parents could never afford to buy me a car, let alone a near new Beamer. You make me sick, get into the real world and fast. You can't piggyback on your parents forever.

OH you poor baby!! Get your own place to live, get a JOB, save every extra penny left after paying rent, food, utilities, gas and insurance (it should take about 10 years) then trade in your "embarrassing" green used sedan and buy your "dream" car. Your payments should be around $500.00 a month for 5 years PLUS $100.00 a month insurance - not only are you a ungrateful spoiled brat, but you are immature and ignorant too. You have NO clue what "fair" means out here in REALITY!! You need a good a** whooping'!

well, first of all it is easily to get a domestic car(such as a ford) in any model and color you want. And they are also drastically cheaper than a convertiable. You should be happy your parents even thought about getting a BMW those are very expensive cars you should be great ful. WHen you buy a car chances are you have a loan and make payments so you can't just ''take it back''

You are a spoiled child if I was your parents I would take it back and give you a bike to ride because you don't deserve a thing. Reminds me of a story a boy wanted a car for his graduation he took his father to see it. Well it came the day of his graduation and his father gave him a bible. The son got so mad and never talked to his father. After his dad died he was going through things and found the bible in there was the title to the car.

You got a car and you are complaining about it? maybe it was the closest they could find quick and at an affordale price. {arents have reasons for the choices they make. Ford and BMW have 2 completely different price ranges, Maybe you should have had a poster of a new convertible mustang!
