Just curious...I'm not understanding the comparison to life.Any thoughts are welcome.

Persecuted or punished for standing up for principles. It could at work, within one's social environement, in his community, or wherever.

To put away the old man with his will and ways and take on the new man which is after Christ Jesus

I die daily, means to let the flesh die and the spirit live

Being hung on a cross, having nails pounded through your arms, having your legs broken so you suffocate to death....
Long painful death.....

Generally used to explain feeling like you are persecuted or suffering - a phrase losing favor linguistically.

As in "being crucified by the press" - they are saying really, really bad things about you.

They mean they feel they have ben hung on the cross like Jesus. BY 13 YEAR OLD

death, sometimes ment as a passing away, such as "for i have ben CRUCIFIED with christ and it is no longer I..." meaning one has killed their own sinful nature with Jesus on the cross.
