Absolutely: it advocates the KILLING of 2/3s of ALL HUMANITY, in your top verse and these two:
BIBLICAL DEATH PENALTY: (part 33) KILL UNBELIEVERS - Acts 3:23 … "And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear the prophet, shall be destroyed."
BIBLICAL DEATH PENALTY: (part 34) KILL UNBELIEVERS - 2 Chronicles 15:12-13 (NIV) … They entered into a covenant to seek the LORD, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and soul. All who would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, were to be put to death, whether small or great, man or woman.

Yeah, but what I don't get is, what if you find out your mother and father both have been fortunetelling for years... Do you have to kill them, then be put to death yourself for striking your parents?

This is supposed to be the word of God, if you see it as evil, then thats in you. Words are words, its what peoples deeds do that make it evil or not. Then that depends on individual opions too.

I have never found the written word to be evil, just sometimes ridiculous. It is the people who wrote them who may be evil and the people who use them as excuses for evil behavior.

Yeah, they got pretty violent in those days - and even wrote about it! Well, that's honesty for you. They weren't hiding anything.
Of course, it could be that those were the revised, KINDER rules....the old rules might have been that they tortured the people, THEN killed them!

anything that people allow have power in their life instead of exercising free will and good judgment is evil.
although faith is not a terrible thing, we all have to remember that we are responsible for our own decisions. we must not allow ourselves to be misguided because we don't have the strength to standout and be honest.

When enough fundamentalist Christians get into power they might decide to implement these laws........... until then they will tell everyone these laws are outdated but they keep using them to prove their point.
DANGEROUS !!
