These three factors are involved:
A. Location
B. The key is not only the location, but the size of the business.
1. No matter the locations, small-one-owner-focused pharmacies will pay more.
2. Hospitals and clinics will pay more.
3. Larger companies like Walmart and Walgreens will pay less.
C.. If you have a certifications, your salary will increase.
I live in a rural area in Northern Minnesota and work at a small pharmacy. I make, starting wage, no certification, $12/hr. However, others that have been there for years, no certification, make as much as $17-18/hr. The drawback is that small pharmacies, like the one I work at, do not have great benefits. In turn, they pay more to compensate for lack in this area. If you are younger, health insurance may not be a huge deal, but as you get older, having benefits available through your employer is extremely important and at times work the pay cut.
Hope this helps.

Well, I'm from Louisiana and where I go to school pharmacy techs make around $8-9 per hour beginning and where I live down south techs can make $10-12. It depends on where you live and how much of a need of techs there is. I'm assuming where I go the school the wage is lower because it's a pharmacy school town and everyone wants to be a tech.
Hope that helps!

It depends on a couple things. Where you live, what kind of pharmacy you're working in, how much the pharmacy manager is willing to fight with corporate over if you're working retail, etc. Before I was certified I was making $7.50/hr working retail. Then, I moved to long term care and I was making $14 /hr without my certification. Once I was certified I was making $10/hr retail. The best paying places will probably be a long term care pharmacy or a hospital pharmacy.

Techs tend to max out in the mid to upper teens per hour. The overall average salary for techs is about $12-$13 per hour. Techs are paid more in hospital settings. There you might be able to break into the 40s.

I am a pharmacy technician and when i started before i was certified i was making 8.50. now that i am certified i am making 13.00. Once you get certified you will be in the range of 10-15.00 depends on where you work and where you live.
paid by the hour(your pay) x 52(weeks in a year) x 40(or how many hours work in a week)
example:
10.00/hr salary would be 20,800
12.00/hr salary would be 24,960
13.00/hr salary would be 27,040
14.00/hr salary would be 29,120
15.00/hr salary would be 31,120
