You mean "The World was created in Six Days" but it is OK to eat shrimp and wear cotton/poly blends? Hmmmmmm....good question.

Christians have a cafeteria-style religion--they choose the stuff they like and pass up what they don't like. That's why they go by the OT verses that say homosexuality is deserving of death, but they ignore the verses telling them that eating pork or not keeping the Sabbath is evil.
The OT does NOT point to the NT. It doesn't point to anything, it's just the Jewish version of their history, with very little actual history in it.

There comes a time in our lives when we must put the Bible down and proceed with faith as our guide. Faith can be a wonderful thing if you let it. God loves us all and we are who we were meant to be. We must remember this, if nothing else. He created us to be who we are. He would not want to change anything. I believe this above all else and I am saddened when I see fighting about what a person should believe. All we have to do is be ourselves and we will be taken care of for the rest of time and beyond. God loves you and I love you. God bless for all time.

What you have to remember is that the Old Testament is more about history. It was also about preparing for Jesus Christ. The Old Testament is to show people what you have to do to go to heaven from your own works. The purpose was to show that the goal was impossibly high for people to reach on their own, and that it was all meant to be about God.

The Bible is like instructions or a "how to" guide of life. Try it, you might it.
