All cities have their supporters and detractors. More people choose to live in Sydney than anywhere else so it must have something going for it. I have lived at different times in Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney and can recommend all three. My choice would be Sydney but many would disagree with me. If you are only going for two months, let the weather decide for you. All three have different climates.

I think Cairns in North Queensland is the BEST place – Warm / Tropical surrounded by rainforest and alot of beaches!

Oh and there's 1 bloke for every 50 Sheilas in the 23-49 age group - do you fit in that category? Can't tell my your avatar if you are male/female LOL

So much to do and see all the time and ALOT safer than the bigger cities. No traffic jams or overhead motorways or skyscrapers.

Melbourne in Victoria is the best place to start. It is the population epicentre of Australia and is particularly welcoming to visitors as we have such a broad diversity of people living here.

At this time the best job is being Prime Minister in the city of Canberra. He has made everyone else miserable and unhappy in their jobs. This condition may change later this year if we manage to elect a reasonable person to take over. The current P.M. is out of touch and is a part time slave driver. Other great jobs include being a minister in the government for the same reason.
