Prophets are enlightened souls who reached the last leg of cosmic life... the 8.4 millionth manifestation in their lifetime. They gained enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) by traveling that spiritual path and finally reached the stage of salvation (moksha). Gaining enlightenment is not that easy a task. In the human form alone God Almighty ordained a journey of 12.1 million earthly years to gain enlightenment and finally salvation.

Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammed were all man gods who gained enlightenment in their lifetime. All four of them practiced absolute celibacy. In the last about 150 years only two persons gained enlightenment amongst 6500 million people existing on Mother Earth. The journey of enlightenment is not easy neither unachievable! Enlightenment announces the end of the cosmic journey.

Celibacy is that essential ingredient on the spiritual path without which nothing much can be accomplished. Being a celibate means preserving that vital ingredient of energy provided monthly to every human being (men and women) by the grace of God. Storing this energy and directing it towards gaining enlightenment results in awakening of our Kundalini.

The moment this happens... the Shahastra Pushpa within our brain behind the forehead opens up. This thousand petalled Lotus opening which one reaches the stage of enlightenment is the end of all! One immediately enters the stage of Nirvikalpa Samadhi when one can have a permanent communion with God on one-to-one basis.

Absolute celibacy needs to be practiced for a minimum period of 12 years in continuation... it is an essential must! Sexual indulgence of any kind during this period is prohibited. In whatever stage of manifestation one may be... the moment our Kundalini awakens fully... one reaches the 8.4 millionth manifestation... the last leg in the cosmic life cycle! Thereafter it is a direct journey to the kingdom of God (aka Baikuntha in Hinduism). More on Celibacy - http://www.godrealized.com/celibacy.html

The Bible speaks of Jesus' brothers and his sisters -- till, I ignored some thing, it takes sex for a pair to have children, and Mary therefore had it mutually with her husband Joseph. The scriptures are there for all to study contained in the Gospels. The case of Jesus is defined and known with the help of all Christians. That some do no longer settle for the Bible's personal testimony about this smacks of Islam's rejection of the Biblical characters it declares perception in.

They are mentioned in the Bible and are Isaiah through Malachi, these are the minor prophets. I am sure all they did in life was not mentioned in the scriptures because it was not what was needed to known. The Bible contains prophecy inspired by God, and is actually directed by his spirit. 2 peter 1:20,21 ; 2 Tim 3:16; Acts 28:25, and Acts 3:21 Distinguishing between true and false prophecy- deut 18:21,22 and 13:1-3 was important. bible prophecy is specific, even foretelling names Isa. 45:1,2 ; 1 king 13:1,2 and 18:13; 19:5-7

There's not really any indication that any of them remained single. Marrage is an important part of the Christian life.
Jesus is the only one that specifically remained single and celebate but He was more than a prophet.
One prophet was actually commanded to take a prostitute as a wife. (Hosea)

In the name of Allah the most Gracious the most merciful

All those who are scholars of the bible know the truth that the
prophets[pbut ] mentioned in the Bible were not Christians and did not practice Christianity.Rather they practiced Monotheism [that is Islam ] and preached the belief in one God our Lord.

Celibacy is a forced False concept of Christianity .We know that almost every prophet and messenger of God were married and had Offspring [children ] In fact many of the
Prophets [pbut ] had many wives. Great prophets like Noah , Abraham, Moses, David, Solomon ,Lot , Aaron, [pbut ] and
the final Prophet Muhammad [pbuh ] were all married .Jesus
[pbuh ] is one of the prophets where there is no evidence in
the bible or the Quran of his marriage .That is because jesus
[pbuh ] did not complete His mission and was taken up to
heaven by almighty God at a young age .We know that he
will come again at some point in time and peraphs marry and
have a family and Allah the almighty knows best.

marriage and martial Relations is a blessing from God almighty to mankind .Marriage is highly recommended and
is part of the religion.any one who denies marriage denies
the favor of Almighty God .

not all people are called out to marry. the prophets had a greater calling and required more time. God knows that marrage takes time and is a working progress, prophets do not have time for that.
