there are no specific foods that make you gain weight.
body gains weight when you consume more calories than spend during the day.
power bars are called "power" bars for a reason - they contain a lot of calories.

They have a lot of calories. Many of them have just as many if not more calories than a candy bar. They also have a lot of sugar (carbohydrates), and most of them are highly processed (some aren't).
They are good if you need to eat something on the run, but they should not be consumed everyday, or multiple times a day.

they can if you eat too many because like everything else they have calories probably avg of 300 a bar and most have a good deal of saturated fat so if you eat too much without the workout or run then yea they can so you have to avg them into your diet

If you eat too many of them they will. As with any food, if you eat too much you will gain weight.
